We are looking for volunteers for the Nomad Gathering in the Desert . Volunteers get free registration for the weekend which includes a campsite.
3 people for PA setup and tear down: Must be 18 and older, be able to pickup over 50 lbs. Friday needed 2 hours. Hour before the talent show, hour for breakdown. Saturday 4 to 6 hours, set up stage, PA and breakdown.
4 people for Registration, Friday 1 pm to 4 PM Saturday 10 am to 5pm. Your job is 4 hours 2 hours Friday, 2 Saturday. You decide how you’ll break or not break up the 4 hours. The job includes checking people in, giving out information needed.

That aside, today is the first day since mid December that we don’t have any campers here. It seems odd not seeing the campers. But that won’t be long as we have more coming in. We enjoy having others come camp, relax and enjoy the land, scenery as much as we do.

We had a wonderful family come and camp with us. Mentii on the Move
On the way out here their brand new truck broke down. We really enjoyed visiting with them and glad we were able to help. We thank our neighbor for stepping up and helping us find someone with a big enough truck to pull the 5th wheel.

It’s a bit windy but quiet day out here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun . We like to wish everyone a happy Valentine’s Day!
Like always we start our morning working on emails, contacting those that need contact, working on the website and organizing events.
We have so many ideas for events we’d love to do. But like with every idea you are not sure it’ll work. But we do have the April Fool’s Open Mic a day and night of Music and vendors. We still have spots open if you’re interested in vending and it’s FREE. Camping is available for $10.00 for Friday and Saturday night.
We also have the Nomad Gathering in the Desert in May a whole weekend of activities. Music, vendors, bonfire, talent show, camping all for one entry fee $20.00 for the whole weekend! Anyone under the age of 10 is free.

Nomad Gathering in the Desert will be a 2 night 3 day private party of nomads coming together for food, fun, festivities, and fellowship.
Future New Mexico Nomad Gatherings in the Desert will be planned, organized by all participants. The first meeting will be held Saturday May 20th at noon.
The weekend will include a bonfire, Karaoke, Talent No Talent Show, Music, movie, Star gazing, Vendors and more

Been a busy day of organizing the RV here. We always tend to have too much stuff and once in a while we clean, get rid of stuff and reorganize.
We had a couple people post comments on our Nomad Gathering in the Desert saying it could be a scam. It isn’t a scam, but most people would say that. So the only way we can prove it is by inviting you all out. We are having the April Fool’s Open Mic on April 1st. It’s free to attend and a good way to meet us, and see what we are about. If you can’t make the April 1st, you are welcome to contact us and set up a time to meet.

Nomad Gathering in the Desert will be held at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun an off-grid campground and Event Center. Located down 11 miles of dirt roads, in the middle of the desert on top of the West Mesa with beautiful views of the Rio Grande valley, just 43 miles south of Albuquerque.
