The Space
At Ka-Hoon Campground, flexibility is key to your camping experience. Our spacious campsites are designed to accommodate all types of camping, whether you’re traveling in an RV, pitching a tent, or parking your van.
With dispersed camping, you have the freedom to choose your perfect spot, whether you prefer a secluded nook or a spot with a view. Our pull-through and back-in sites make parking a breeze, ensuring a stress-free setup no matter your vehicle type.
So whether you’re embarking on a rugged RV adventure, setting up camp under the stars in a tent, or seeking the convenience of van life, Ka-Hoon Campground has the perfect spot for you. Come, create your own camping oasis in the heart of the New Mexico desert. 🚐⛺🏞️

Down 11 miles of gravel roads off exit 191 Belen NM.

At Ka-Hoon Campground, we pride ourselves on offering a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests:
- Compost Toilet “The Hut”: Eco-friendly facilities for your convenience.
- Communal “The Hearth” Fire Pit: Gather around for cozy evenings under the stars.
- Wood for communal firepit gathering.

- The Bothy Kitchen
- Purpose: A communal outdoor kitchen space for meal preparation, potlucks, and bar gatherings.
- Bring our own cooking utensils
- BBQ Charcoal Grill: Available by request at $20.00 per night with a $10.00 refund upon return;
- charcoal is not included.
- First come, first serve
- Usage: Cook at The Bothy Kitchen or take the grill to your campsite.
- Availability: The Bothy Kitchen may be closed during events.
- No pets are allowed within the Bothy Kitchen area.
- Purpose: A communal outdoor kitchen space for meal preparation, potlucks, and bar gatherings.
- Cellphone Charging Station: Stay connected while disconnecting from the hustle and bustle. **By Request **
- Shower Facilities: Freshen up with access to our shower facilities!
To help cover the cost of hauling water and propane, showers are available for **\$10 per 15 minutes**.
- Please note: Showers must be scheduled in advance with Ka-Hoon Campground staff, as we need to activate the water system, pumps, and on-demand heater.
- To keep nightly fees low for guests who don’t require a shower, the shower fee is separate from your stay.*** (Due to the truck being broke done the shower is not available)

Cancelation Policy
Please note our refund policy: No refunds are available past 72 hours prior to your scheduled stay. This policy applies to all bookings, including same-day reservations, which are considered non-refundable. However, transfers to another day may be possible upon request. Thank you for your understanding.

Workamper
We’ve had a few people ask if we’d be willing to have a workamper. If you are interested in being a workamper please contact us.
Horses Welcome
You are welcome to bring your horses. All we ask is that you Please clean up after them.
Enchanted Desert mesa overlooking the Rio Grande Valley! Serene mountainous views, place where time stands still, away from the busy city life, yet still close enough. Recreational opportunities abound, only limited by your own imagination. With near by sight seeing, hill and mountain climbing , ATV/UTV exploration upon site as well as local trail areas across the mesa.
Guest access
Will have access to whole property, with exception of the hosts personal space and other campers space
Other things to note
Be prepared weather can be unpredictable at times. The land is untamed down some narrow sometimes rough dirt roads.
Compost toilet available, we also have a Camping toilet available (by request). We ask that you santize after ever use. Camping toilet please santize before returning. Sanitizer will be available.
Take out what you brought in, you are responsible for your trash.
Pets are welcome, we ask that you clean up after them, they don’t need to be leashed at your campsite but we ask that they are outside that area.
Respect other campers don’t trespass on others campsite, respect everyone’s privacy.
We do not enforce quiet times unless it becomes an issue. Respect others around you.
There is a communal firepit available for all to use when weather permits
