It’s a bit windy but quiet day out here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun . We like to wish everyone a happy Valentine’s Day!

Like always we start our morning working on emails, contacting those that need contact, working on the website and organizing events.

We have so many ideas for events we’d love to do. But like with every idea you are not sure it’ll work. But we do have the April Fool’s Open Mic a day and night of Music and vendors. We still have spots open if you’re interested in vending and it’s FREE. Camping is available for $10.00 for Friday and Saturday night.

We also have the Nomad Gathering in the Desert in May a whole weekend of activities. Music, vendors, bonfire, talent show, camping all for one entry fee $20.00 for the whole weekend! Anyone under the age of 10 is free.

We also have openings for vendors for the Nomad Gathering it’s free to vend with a registration.

Nomad Gathering in the Desert

Ka-Hoon Campground

Nomad Gathering in the Desert will be a 2 night 3 day private party of nomads coming together for food, fun, festivities, and fellowship.

Future New Mexico Nomad Gatherings in the Desert will be planned, organized by all participants. The first meeting will be held Saturday May 20th at noon.

The weekend will include a bonfire, Karaoke, Talent No Talent Show, Music, movie, Star gazing, Vendors and more

Friday Night:

  • 4 PM Nomad Opening meeting. Come together and get to know each other. If you’d like to host an event, this is the time to add it to the schedule.
  • Open Talent no Talent Show
  • Outdoor Movie “Off The MAP” Sequestered on a ranch deep in the recesses of rural New Mexico, a part-Hopi woman (Joan Allen), her catatonic depressed husband (Sam Elliot) & their precocious 11-year old daughter (Valentina de Angelis) live off the land…
  • Bonfire S’mores makings (S’mores kits can be purchased at the Plateau Hame De Colquhoun Booth).

Saturday:

  • Vendors – Free to Vend with Registration: Contact us to register your booth.
  • Noon Topic Conversation, Come together ask questions, plan the next year’s Gathering, start organizing for next year’s Gathering!

Saturday night:

  • Live Music TBD
  • Bonfire (S’mores kits can be purchased at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun booth
    Stargazing.

Sunday:

  • 11 am Nomad closing meeting time to say our goodbyes, exchange information with new friends.

If you would like to Host an activity or Vend your goods please let us know. Vending is free for all attendees.

Events here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

So many things happening here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun it’s hard to keep up. We have the April Fool’s Open Mic a Free event for all ages. Nomad Gathering in the Desert is May 19th to 21st, a full weekend of music, relaxing, vendors, talent show, Bonfires, stargazing!

The dates are set for the Haunted Hayride October 20 and 21. Friday night will be the Haunted Hayride, Saturday a day of vendors, music and hayrides. You will be able to come Friday for just the Hayride, come both days ride the hayride twice, camp, listen to some music, shop. (This is subject to change) Or just come Saturday. We will be posting more details soon.

We are also working on a few other events where we are not to the point of releasing information. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and website for more information!!

Not a Scam Nomad Gathering in the Desert

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday the 1st of February!

Been a busy day of organizing the RV here. We always tend to have too much stuff and once in a while we clean, get rid of stuff and reorganize.

We had a couple people post comments on our Nomad Gathering in the Desert saying it could be a scam. It isn’t a scam, but most people would say that. So the only way we can prove it is by inviting you all out. We are having the April Fool’s Open Mic on April 1st. It’s free to attend and a good way to meet us, and see what we are about. If you can’t make the April 1st, you are welcome to contact us and set up a time to meet.

Cold morning here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

Ka-Hoon Campground

It’s a cold 7 degree Thursday morning here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun . We are excited for the weather to warm up and start the season of events, music,bonfires hanging out with new and old friends.

But until then we can plan private and public events.

April Fool’s Open Mic is FREE and open to all. Come share your talent, hang out, watch the stars. Camping is available check our website or Facebook for more information.

Nomad Gathering in the Desert is a weekend of entertainment, bonfires, star gazing, meeting new and old friends. $20.00 to attend, price includes camping.

We are hoping to release more information on the 2023 Haunted Hay ride soon!

Snowy Day here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

This winter we finally got a little bit of snow! It’s very pretty, but we are glad it only lasts a day or so.

This morning I let the dogs out, thinking they wouldn’t stay out to long.. But nope the boys (Dreugan and Amigo) don’t want to come in, not even for breakfast. Weillow (Our 12 year old) on the other hand couldn’t get back in fast enough.

So now I sit here, work on a few Plateau Hame De Colquhoun things, drink some coffee and wait for the boys to let me know when they want in.

Today is one those days we are winging it on what we do. We want to go to Albuquerque and pickup few things for JAFO Productions and would also like to return a Masters propane heater we bought at Tractor Supply Co. .

We wanted a heater with a more Btu for the RV, and use the Buddy heater in the Greenroom or the Studio when we are in them. So we bought a 18,000 btu Masters, but it isn’t working right. It will ignite but after 15 minutes it shut off, then nothing.. We’ve changed tanks, tried it in different locations, blew it out. It Ignited and ran for a couple hours, then shut off, now won’t light. Even letting it sit for 12 hours . We are thinking the Thermocoupler is bad. If it was something we had for awhile we’d fix it, but we haven’t even been able to use it.

While I sit here listening to the wind, feeling the RV rocking, I think about the upcoming events we are hosting here Plateau Hame De Colquhoun .

We will be having an April Fool’s Open Mic on April 1st starting at noon and going until we are done! All are welcome, you can come a few hours or stay the night. Campsites are $10.00 for a 2 night stay.

We also are having the Nomad Gathering in the Desert a full weekend event filled with fun, music, relaxation, stargazing, bonfires and friendship.

October we will be having the 2nd Haunted Hay Ride and After Party. A night of scares and music.
