Went and ate at the RSH Steakhouse in Belen tonight, highly recommend going it ever in town!!

Back here Plateau Hame De Colquhoun we are getting ready for a small private event. We haven’t had much of a chance to start working on the new store front. But hoping soon we’ll be able to. So many projects, so little time. We have high wind advisories for tomorrow, which means we won’t get much done. But that’s okay as it’s off to the dentist tomorrow for me.

Plateau Hame De Colquhoun store Front

Got our store front building, now need to put roof on it, paint, then set up the inside. But all that has to wait for less windy day. Getting 46 mph gusts.. which made a good day to clear Tumble weeds and let them blow away.

Happy Valentine’s

Happy Valentine’s Day!! Today was a slow day, cleaned up tumble weeds that gathered under everything I guess part of desert life. Brent Colquhoun took Anne and I out to eat for Valentine’s at a wonderful local restaurant #oasis in #Belen.

Tomorrow we’ll be heading back into town to pickup a shipping box that we plan on using for either a store front or shower.

Busy weekend of events

This weekend has been busy out here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun . We had a small private music gathering. We have some bookings this week. Nice to be back and start having people coming out.

Busy day here Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

Our first full day back, got the RV winterized again, the water pump is fine, just blown fuse . Anne’s RV wouldn’t start, the battery died..

We have bookings this weekend here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun . Just about everything is setup and ready. Tomorrow night we are booked for a private event a night of music, which means tonight we relax and do some music, make sure everything is ready for tomorrow!!

When you don’t accomplish anything, yet still make progress.

We’re back home, yet haven’t had a chance to spend much time home to get the things done we need done!

Today Brent got himself a much needed new toy. Now we can haul out own water, lumber, move trailers etc.

I’m finally caught up on the all the Plateau Hame De Colquhoun paperwork, we have bookings coming in. We’d are hoping soon to start booking events, bands.. We have few events in the works, that we hope to soon surprise everyone with!

But first we need to finish getting everything back in order (Things we packed away, or stored while gone) but to do that we need to be home…

Traveling across America made it home!

Ka-Hoon Campground

We left Amarillo Sunday night and drove to Clovis New Mexico where we drydocked at Walmart. Next morning we made the last jump home.

We are now back home, not without some excitement that had to remind us we live out in middle of the desert.
Few days ago a neighbor had called us saying his RV been broken into, some people been squatting in it and trashed it (totalling it).

We all watch out for each other out here. Vandalism was bad for awhile, but we all were able to put a stop to it.. But now it’s back, and something like that hits hard, especially when your not home yourself.. We have security and someone coming in multiple times daily.. But still doesn’t make our stuff safe.

On the way home yesterday we noticed someone setting up camp not far from where the RV had been trashed. So once we got home, Brent and few neighbors went to check it out. Nobody was there so now we watch..

Fighting Winds

If isn’t snow it’s wind… 30 mph winds with 40 mph gusts. We did drive 140 miles, 100 less than our original intentions. We’re sitting at Flying J in Amarillo TX. On the way here we seen one semi blown off the road and rolled. We are so close to home, yet so far…
