**Community Support and Togetherness in the Desert**
As previously discussed, having a supportive community is vital, especially in the remote desert where assistance from state and county officials can be challenging to obtain. Here, our neighbors have become more than just people living nearby; they are family.
One of our neighbors, who undergoes dialysis in Albuquerque three times a week, faced financial strain due to the travel expenses. Recently, he was approved for home dialysis, but needed to make some modifications to his home. In response, our community rallied together to help. We removed cabinets and benches to make space for the new equipment and uncovered additional issues that will require future attention.
We extend our gratitude to Red Gorilla Studios for their generous donation of a recliner, which is essential for his treatment.
After a few hours of hard work, we celebrated with a BBQ, practiced archery, enjoyed some music, and relaxed together. This sense of community support and togetherness makes all the difference in our lives out here.

New Date for Music in the Desert Saturday: Supporting Metal Mayhem and More!
At Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center, our focus is on supporting the community rather than competing. With that in mind, we’re rescheduling our Music in the Desert Saturday Talent Show and Karaoke to the following Saturday, August 17th. This new date coincides with our Anime, Cosplay Contest, and Talent Show.
This change allows us to support Stage Luchetti and Red Gorilla Studios LLC , who are hosting a night of Metal Mayhem in Albuquerque. We’re excited to see everyone at these fantastic events and look forward to welcoming you to our own event on August 17th right here at Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center!

Community Rally: From Pickup Truck Troubles to Rocking Red Gorilla Studios!
**Today’s the Day: Heading to Red Gorilla Studios!**
Today, the team from Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center, along with a few campers, is excited to head to Red Gorilla Studios in Albuquerque for the Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band show!
We had a bit of a hiccup as our pickup truck broke down at the post office in town yesterday. Fortunately, our amazing community of neighbors stepped up and towed it home. After some investigation, we discovered that the starter solenoid had gone out. We’ve ordered a new one, but in the meantime, our generous neighbors are towing our trailer for us.
Living out here, our community has evolved from a group of strangers into a close-knit family. Despite occasional disagreements, it’s heartwarming to know we can rely on each other. We’re grateful to be part of this supportive community and look forward to the show!

Yesterday was a scorcher as we worked tirelessly in the studio, preparing for this weekend’s performance at Red Gorilla Studios in Albuquerque. With temperatures high, we anticipated a cooler evening to finish up some outdoor tasks, but the night brought unexpected monsoons.
Despite the weather, we found solace in the Greenroom. Dry and cozy, it provided the perfect setting for a relaxed evening of conversations with our campers. It was a great opportunity to connect and unwind after a long day of preparations.

Behind the Scenes: Preparing for the Epic Advocatus Diaboli Performance!
**Embracing the Heat and the Challenge**
The days have been scorching, and we’ve been hard at work in the studio preparing for Saturday’s performance by Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band at Red Gorilla Studios in Albuquerque. We’re implementing many exciting changes, which has been a considerable amount of work. As someone who isn’t naturally musically inclined, learning to operate three animatronics and synchronizing parts within a song has been quite a challenge.
Despite the difficulties, I’m pleasantly surprised at how I’m picking it up. With support from those around me and a lot of practice, I’m starting to see how everything is coming together. I’ve found myself enjoying the process more than I expected.
Having never grown up around music, I never imagined myself in this role. However, I’m embracing the challenge and am committed to succeeding where I once thought I couldn’t. The effort is well worth it, and I’m excited about the progress we’re making.
