Took night off to see Amigo The devil concert

I wasn’t able to get a recording of Flogging Molly as we ended up moving towards the back, we ran to the bathroom due to the crowd. (I don’thandle being crowded), and sadly I couldn’t see anything

Crochet projects

A while back, @Advocatus Diaboli & The GLƁ  asked me to make some items for his merch table. I had never crocheted anything other than blankets before, but Brent and AD (Advocatus) encouraged me to try. I succeeded and made the items AD asked for, as well as some for the Dusty Nail General Store. What do you think?

8k Solar system

March 12, 2024 Ka-Hoon Campground

We have built two solar systems thus far. The first one consists of six 200-watt panels, a 24-watt 3k inverter, and two 100-Ah batteries. This 3k system powers Anne’s Lazy Daze Class C RV and a charging station inside the Grey trailer.

The second system is an 8k system with 12 200-watt panels, a 48-watt 8k inverter, and 12 250-Ah batteries. It is supposed to run the Stage, Music Studio, and Greenroom, but currently, our Class A Southwind RV is using it. The plan is to build the next system that’s six 500-watt panels, a 48-watt 5k inverter, and six 250-Ah batteries, which will run the RV and Grey trailer. At that point, the 3k system will solely power Anne’s RV.

Mornings at Ka-hoon Campground and Event Center

I like to start my mornings by working on my crochet projects, clearing out my inbox, reviewing my schedule, and getting ready for the day ahead. I usually enjoy a refreshing cup of coffee while doing this.

Mondays and Thursdays are rehearsal days here for @Advocatus, Diaboli & The GLƁ . Usually on every other Sunday, Advocatus Diaboli records their podcast, and I edit it on Mondays or Tuesdays, so it’s ready for them to upload on Mondays and Fridays. However, I haven’t been able to complete today’s podcast yet, which means it won’t be uploaded on social media until later today. Only needs the image completed to make it a video. The podcast can also be listened to on Podbean.

We’re planning on doing a once-weekly live session on Wednesdays.

Apart from this, I’m also making crochet items to sell in the store. Currently, I’m working on a cute Mushroom Gnome, which I’m not sure if I want to sell as I quite like it. However, for the next one, I plan on making a few changes.

Rainy, Cloudy day while living offgrid in Mew Mexico Desert

Yesterday, the weather started with sunshine, but it quickly turned cloudy and even had some rain.

Living offgrid in the New Mexico desert, rain is a cherished blessing that we eagerly await. It is a rare and precious commodity that we do not take for granted. Often, we find ourselves gazing at the storm clouds, wondering if we will finally get to feel the rain pour down on us. It is a beautiful spectacle to behold, as the thunder rumbles and the lightning strikes, but it is also a reminder of the power and unpredictability of nature. Even though most often we watch the storms go around us, we still hold onto the hope that one day, the rain will come and quench our parched land.

Dealing with the elements

Windy cloudy chilly Wednesday morning.. trying to get things accomplished in the elements can be very challenging. Maybe it’d be easier if we had a crew to accomplish the tasks instead of the 3 of us? Brent that knows what he’s doing, Anne and I who have no idea and just do what we are told.

But we do have but few small things to do for this Saturday Happy HORRORDAZE “Axe-Travaganza” live stream with no other than Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band !!

Dealing with the cold at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

Mornings have been a bit chilly here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun , It was 17 outside when we got up this morning… Since we run a buddy heater for our heat, we only tend to run it at night before going to bed and in the morning when we get up. This morning when we got out of the warm bed, it was 30 degrees inside. The dogs wanted out, but Weillow met me with her teeth chattering.. Weillow wears a jacket and crawls up on the couch at night under blankets.. Like us she was probably warm until she had to go to the bathroom.

We can run the heater all night and probably will if we feel it’s going to get cold. Cold to us is when it doesn’t warm up during the day. Usually our days warm up enough to warm the inside of the RV nicely, we open windows and doors to get the heat in, but before it starts to cool off we shut everything down to trap in the warmth. We tend to stay at an even temp (depending on outside temp) until around 9-10 pm.. If we plan on staying up a bit we kick on the #buddyheater until we are ready for bed or it warms up. We do this as we feel safer, and save on propane even though we have smoke and Co2 detectors, sleeping with the heater off.. In the morning the first to wake up turns on the heater.

We had talked about doing wood, but if you’ve ever seen any of our photos trees are pretty sparse, and the cost of wood isn’t worth it.
