Made it to Sacramento

We’ve been here at the Cal Expo RV Park since yesterday morning. But before getting here we had a wonderful night at Van Ruiten Family Winery in Lodi. Great wine, wonderful atmosphere, if you’re ever in Lodi we recommend you stop in!

Now we are sitting here at RV Park, it’s nice to be in full hook up. The location of the park is fairly quiet. But when we reserved we had been told that the shuttle for Aftershock Festival came to the RV park. Which was the big deciding factor on not bringing the car. We found out yesterday that the shuttle pickup is 2 miles away (Still on the Cal Expo property so it wasn’t a lie).. 2 miles through Sacramento streets, which makes us (well me in particular) feel very uncomfortable walking in the middle of the night.

RV Repairs while at RV Park

We made it to the RV Park Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post to get some much needed repairs done on the RV. We are grateful the RV park is allowing the mobile Rv repairs to be done at their park!

It’s different being in an RV park with full hookups and a pool. We’ll get a couple days of being spoiled before going back to Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

While here we still have a view of home. #ladronepeak…and appreciate those who help keep an eye on things, you know who you are.

Getting RV ready to move after being stationary

I don’t know about everyone else, but after being stationary for months the RV gets disorganized. When it comes time to move it becomes a task trying to find homes for everything.

Tomorrow we’ll be taking the RV on a weeks trip. Which means I have to organize and find homes for the new and old items. Since February we’ve taken the RV once in May for an overnight trip to get it looked at. Finally got an appointment to get the repairs done next week.

Since @JAFO Productions is doing the sound at @B Town Bike Rally Belen New Mexico on Saturday we are taking the RV and staying in town, than onto a RV park in Albuquerque where the repairs will be done.

Burr Waiting out Winter Storm

Another day here at Brixey Lake RV Park in Oklahoma waiting out this winter storm.. Water spigot froze, which means no water, but we do have bottle water. Temps are below zero windchill, today supposed to be the worst then starts warming up.

While waiting this out we sit inside, finished up all the Plateau Hame De Colquhoun stuff, now making shortbread cookies, while Brent Colquhoun sits back catching up on Facebook and Anne Calhoun sitting there trying to pretend to work on school work 😉 , and dogs relaxing on the couch.. We are hopeful to head back out Saturday to head back home!

Waiting out winter storm in Oklahoma

Sitting here in Oklahoma waiting out the winter storm. Not much for snow yet, it did rain last night, so there was a dusting and ice on the ground. Today we’re dealing with 30mph winds and falling temps into the tens and single digits overnight. Not sure what the wind chill is but it’s chilly for sure but half the actual temperature is likely.

We’re staying warm, running a room heater that’s keeping us comfortable. Though we have found out that the best plan is to moderate the electric here. 30amp will not run the basement heater on full watts and inside heater jacked way up as well…
If needed we still have propane as our backup …🥶🤔

Pioneerism @ it’s finest…our available luxury is by no means a complaint.

101 RV Park, Calhoun Louisiana

Well we’re here at 101 RV Park for couple days in Calhoun, Louisiana .

We’re on the fence on whether we like the park or not. People are quiet, stay to themselves. Many long term campers which is okay. The park could used cleaning up some, we were worried about plugging in as the 30amp plug is all burned up. We did put meter on the 50 amp and it was okay. Water pressure is good, though spigot is broken, and stand in mud to hook up. Get alot of road noise even though you’re not right next to the interstate…our site has some wooded area and a local cemetery to explore just past the tree line and really good cell signal.

We did walk around town a little, cute little town. Tomorrow morning we head out to a State park in Arkansas for few days before heading to Fort Smith THOR Elite Firing Range and Gun Club

Injured at RV park

Day one of staying in RV Park..It’s quiet, people we’ve meet been friendly. Anne and I went to an Art’s and Crafts get together. They offer a variety of different activities throughout the week.

This morning while walking the dogs I had a pleasure of finding probably the only hole, twisted my ankle, skinned my knee and think may of broken my finger..
