A few days ago it was 65 and really windy, today it’s 36 and snowing. If you haven’t seen snow in the desert watch the video. I always loved watching snow storms in Minnesota, when we decided to move to New Mexico it was my fear of not seeing snow. But it snows here a couple times a year, luckily though it usually isn’t much or lasts long. We get just enough snow that I enjoy it.

We are looking for volunteers for the Nomad Gathering in the Desert . Volunteers get free registration for the weekend which includes a campsite.
3 people for PA setup and tear down: Must be 18 and older, be able to pickup over 50 lbs. Friday needed 2 hours. Hour before the talent show, hour for breakdown. Saturday 4 to 6 hours, set up stage, PA and breakdown.
4 people for Registration, Friday 1 pm to 4 PM Saturday 10 am to 5pm. Your job is 4 hours 2 hours Friday, 2 Saturday. You decide how you’ll break or not break up the 4 hours. The job includes checking people in, giving out information needed.

Nomad Gathering in the Desert will be a 2 night 3 day private party of nomads coming together for food, fun, festivities, and fellowship.
Future New Mexico Nomad Gatherings in the Desert will be planned, organized by all participants. The first meeting will be held Saturday May 20th at noon.
The weekend will include a bonfire, Karaoke, Talent No Talent Show, Music, movie, Star gazing, Vendors and more
Friday Night:
4 PM Nomad Opening meeting. Come together and get to know each other. If you’d like to host an event, this is the time to add it to the schedule.

So many things happening here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun it’s hard to keep up. We have the April Fool’s Open Mic a Free event for all ages. Nomad Gathering in the Desert is May 19th to 21st, a full weekend of music, relaxing, vendors, talent show, Bonfires, stargazing!
The dates are set for the Haunted Hayride October 20 and 21. Friday night will be the Haunted Hayride, Saturday a day of vendors, music and hayrides. You will be able to come Friday for just the Hayride, come both days ride the hayride twice, camp, listen to some music, shop. (This is subject to change) Or just come Saturday. We will be posting more details soon.
