Yesterday was an incredible day at the **Music in the Desert Talent Show and Karaoke**! We had our best turnout so far, with a lineup of amazing talent from our local community and beyond.
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly **Advocatus Diaboli and Shamshini** once again stepping up and delivering a performance that had everyone entertained! The energy was high with lots of dancing, laughter, and great music filling the desert air.

Tomorrow is the **Music in the Desert Talent Show and Karaoke**, and we couldn’t be more excited! Today is open, with no concrete plans, but we’ve wrapped up most of the Advocatus Diaboli revamp. Hopefully, this will make things smoother during future performances.
If you haven’t experienced the **Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band** yet, I highly recommend catching a show—especially if you’re into bawdy performances. Both **Advocatus Diaboli** and **Shamshini** will be making appearances tomorrow during the event.

Music in the Desert Talent Show & Karaoke – Camp, Sing, and Enjoy a Night of Fun in the Desert!
I’ve been down with some stomach issues the last couple of days. It’s slowly getting better, but I haven’t felt up to doing much.
This weekend, we’re gearing up for the Music in the Desert Talent Show and Karaoke, which should be a great time for everyone.
Before this, we were busy working in the studio, rewriting and organizing songs for the Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band show. We’ve made some good progress, but there’s still more to do. The work we’re putting in will make it much easier to set up and run the music during the performance.
We also had a nice week of campers coming in and even sold some registrations for the Halloween Hootenanny! It’s going to be 4 days of fun and activities in the New Mexico desert, with music, Creepy Crawl campsite-to-campsite trick-or-treating, and more.

After a long day in the studio working on music and show notes for the Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band show, we’re finally making progress. It’s day 3, and even though it’s been the longest day so far, we’re about halfway through. Luckily, we’ve found some faster methods to streamline things. The heat wasn’t extreme today, but it was enough to make my phone overheat multiple times. Now, after all the hard work, we’re winding down, watching some football with a few neighbors and taking it easy.

### Life at Ka-Hoon Campground: Helping Hands and Community Spirit
The past couple of days have been busy, but in the best way possible. Between assisting campers, rehearsing, and giving tours, our days are filled with activity and purpose. We love being part of this vibrant community and helping out wherever we can.
Just yesterday, we lent a hand to a neighbor who needed help towing his truck to a local mechanic. Today, we’re running errands with another neighbor to pick up concrete and other building supplies for his new home. It’s moments like these that make us appreciate the close-knit community we’ve built here.
For those unfamiliar with our journey to New Mexico, check out our early YouTube videos to see how it all began. We originally came here to help a lady clean up her property so she could host events. Now, she’s invited us back for a visit and some work. We’re looking forward to camping out there for a few days and enjoying some time in nature. Although some think we’re camping full-time, for us, living here is more than just camping—it’s a lifestyle we cherish.

**Surviving the New Mexico Heat: Preparing for the Music in the Desert Talent Show**
Today, the New Mexico desert heat was intense as ever, making it a challenge to get through our daily tasks. With temperatures soaring, exhaustion set in quickly, and by the time the sun started to set, we were already worn out. But with the excitement of the upcoming **Music in the Desert Talent Show**, **Karaoke**, **Cosplay Contest**, and **Anime Screening** tomorrow, we pushed through to ensure everything is ready.
### Prepping for the Event
Despite the heat, we managed to accomplish quite a bit. We tackled some of the necessary mowing—not all of it, but just enough to prepare for tomorrow’s event. We also installed lights on the **Bothy Kitchen** top, giving it a welcoming glow for the evening festivities.

Once the temperatures drop this evening, we’ll finish clearing the area for the talent show and karaoke. The anticipation of seeing everyone’s creativity and talent under the desert stars is keeping us motivated!
