Wind and more wind.. Dealing with the winds up here on the mesa takes its toll on us. Going outside to work in it is hard you get sand in your mouth, eyes, lungs. We try to keep it out of the RV but that rarely works. My sinuses hate the winds and like to swell up.
Today is supposed to be the last of the winds for few days. Just in time for tomorrow nights movie night! We’ll be watching Hunger Games Mocking Jay part one and two under the beautiful night skies. All campers are welcome! You can book a campsite using one of the platforms on our website!

One of the things we heard a lot before opening up for camping is why would someone pay when they can go to BLM land for free. We had questioned the same thing, we had heard stories about camping at some BLM lands, but never had experienced it ourselves.
After this last weekend we now understand why some rather pay. Our place isn’t much different than BLM, you can hike for miles, beautiful views, sunsets, sunrises over the mountains, very little light pollution which makes sky viewing beyond your beliefs. But we also offer security, respect, not going to walk through your campsite without permission. We offer a few amenities, a toilet and hopefully the shower soon. You can socialize or stay to yourself, you can have food delivered to your site (the menu can be found on the website), we also have the new miniature Dusty Nail General Store which offers home made wash cloths, art prints and originals, build your own charm jewelry, “I survived music in the desert” t shirts, schedule a henna tattoo, tours of the mesa for those that might not be able to hike it, oh and you get a cell signal. These few things are what makes the difference and we feel security, respect and cell signal is the main reason. These are things we lacked while camping on BLM land this last weekend. We had to make our own security..
We like to hear from you, are there more we can offer that would make your stay more comfortable?
