Got the batteries wired, hooked up the Inverter and controller.. controller popped and nothing.. we unplugged everything, checked all the fuses, they are all good.. But this part (last picture) fell out.. So once again waiting for replacement to be sent.

Daily update
Most of the mowing is finished.. we plan on adding a couple more RV pull thru in area of first picture. One left we are going to put a spot for buses, coaches.
Circle (second picture) is finished, we made the fire pit circle bigger, still working on getting all weeds/grass out if the part we extended. The idea is that it should be as barefoot safe as any sandy place (still at your own risk). The cactus garden is growing and doing good (maybe next year we’ll have prickly pear fruit)! I’ll get pictures as soon as can!
Plateau Hame De Colquhoun once again is mostly booked up for the weekend. We are now rated as a star host highest rating for the platform.. Fingers crossed we keep staying booked up!

Sitting outside relaxing and taking in the clean crisp night air. Parts for solar supposed to be in tomorrow.. We are hoping to have the solar hooked up and going by end of this weekend (weather permitting).

Desert life
As much as we love our independence and adventure of living where many dare to live. It can be very hard and lonely at times. Within this desolate area we have a community that watch out for each other. We have became a family. As a family we check up on each other, visit and get annoyed with each other. We know all that is going on, for if one sees something or someone unusual, we all get a call.

Why can’t it be easy?
The solar build is on hold 😦 We have gone through the wiring and have to admit it’s really confusing.. We have gone through it all, awhile ago trying to lay everything out according to list we got.. It was confusing cables aren’t called same thing as on the list.. So we figured we’d just build and work one step at a time..
We are now to the wiring, we figured out why it was confusing.. We are missing half of the wiring.. Emailed the company now it’s a waiting game. 🤬🤬🤬

So many projects not enough sunny days!
photo is rain coming over #ladronepeak.. 2 days of rain and cloudy days is making hard on the little solar system. Rain has also slowed us even more on the bigger 8k system. We are very close to finishing but much of what’s left needs sunny days. Last week all our sunny days we’ve been busy with other life projects.
It’s now evening and clearing off, we are fully booked up with campers for weekend here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun. We just finished up getting everything set up for the #campers. We’ve been so busy even Dreugan has passed out.

Rainy, busy days
Have most of the mowing finished🤣🤯, items purchased (hopefully)🤑 to finish up the solar. Now just need to have a day that isn’t raining☔ or we have other commitments🦧 so we can finish up the solar.

Spent a night sitting around the firepit! Worked on getting the batteries, inverter, controller all set up in the battery house. We need to make a run into Lowes or Home Depot to get few more items before we can hook everything up. It’s slowly getting close to being finished! Then onto the next project…
