View of the Snow top mountains from Plateau Hame De Colquhoun . This morning the 6th of January most of that snow is gone. But still very beautiful views. When we looked at the property before purchasing the views were the selling point. 75% of the views are mountains, we can see Mount Taylor by Grant, Sandia by Albuquerque. We do get military aircraft traffic, a lot of refueling practices, maybe even a few UFOs.

We need some input.. We are working on this year’s event scheduled. We would like to hear from the community on what would you like to enjoy next as an event?
Remind you Plateau Hame De Colquhoun is off-grid private and middle of the desert with very beautiful views. 15+ RV drydock sites and many more tent sites.
Plateau Hame De Colquhoun’s JAFO Productions has available access for stage needs. To learn more visit our website.
We do not serve alcohol but can BYOB, we are also 420 friendly. We do not sell or produce 420. 420 friendly means if you bring 420, we will not kick you out for it.
I have been getting a lot of memories from Facebook, and Google of our move here a little over two years ago. Moving here on the land was the first thing Brent and I have done for ourselves since we have been together. We have helped others build their land to do events for many years.
But we wanted to do something for ourselves, we wanted to have our own campground and Event center.
Moving here to Plateau Hame De Colquhoun has been a learning curve. The land was vacant, had trash left by individuals dumping, cow patties from the free range cattle, cactus, snake weeds, yucca and more.
Before we could open we cleaned up and hauled off the trash, mowed, built a road for better access, build a stage, toilet.
In April of 2022 we opened for our first event an open mic. We were very fearful, we had worked many events for others but this was our first time for ourselves. We had a lot of what ifs. What if nobody shows, what if solar and generators don’t work the way we planned, what if people don’t like it, what if the road out deters people.. So many what ifs we had thought about quitting. But us being who we are (stubborn) we kept going. People did come, they said they enjoyed themselves. This made all the work so far worth it!
For all wondering as we get asked a lot.. Plateau Hame De Colquhoun is Scottish for Plateau Home of Colquhoun (Ka-hoon). Colquhoun is a Scottish clan which is Brent Colquhoun ancestry.
I wanted to add the Colquhoun March to the video but I wasn’t able to find one I could us.. So here is a link to the Colquhoun March..
Happy Veterans Day, we thank all the veterans for serving and supporting us!
Not much has been happening here, had a few campers and getting a few things ready for a neighborhood Turkey Day.
We have started to work on next year’s Haunted Hell Ride.We had good reviews from the Hell Ride this year, it did better than we expected, especially being our first. We have learned a few things that we hope to incorporate into next year’s Hay ride. Date is set, though been debating doing one or two nights?

The year has gone by so fast, this being our first year opening up for events public and private. It hasn’t been a bad 1st and we are hoping that 2023 will be even better!!
This weekend we have our last scheduled private event for this year.
Most everything is set up and ready for this weekend’s event, just a few minor things to do. So today we are mainly working on staying out of the wind. I don’t know about everyone else but the winds effect me. It gets windy my sinuses and eyes swell up, even while wearing a mask.
The season for outdoor Music in the Desert is coming to an end. We had a good first season and hope next year will be even better!! As we grow we plan to build an enclosed stage and deck over the Bluemoon.
We are open all year to campers and smaller events. As always, Contact for more info.
See you again soon!!!

The hardest part of starting a new business, especially something as unique as what we are doing, is getting your name out, getting people to know you are legit. We have come a long way so far already, as we grow we hope to keep adding and advancing. Building an enclosed stage, a deck over the blue moon. Finish the shower, more solar, plant trees, have gardens.
It’s all a process that takes more time than is sometimes available, but when it’s shared as an experience to others it makes it worth while.
Less than a week left until the Haunted Hell Ride and Haunted Hell Ride After Party featuring Dirty Brown Jug Band !
