We Hit 3,000 Followers on TikTok! Thank You From Colquhoun Entertainment*

We did it — **3,000 followers on the Colquhoun Entertainment TikTok profile!** Out here at Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center, we share a mix of our off-grid life, behind-the-scenes at Colquhoun Entertainment, Music in the Desert prep, and of course the daily chaos of two mischievous desert dogs. Watching our little community grow has been both humbling and absolutely hilarious.

Whether we’re filming sunrise at **Plateau Hame de Colquhoun**, showing off the campground, or sharing the antics of our fearless little troublemaker and the big gentle goof who watches over everything, YOU helped us make it to this milestone.

This page started as a way to bring people into our world—off-grid living, creative projects, the event center, our shows like Advocatus Diaboli’s Music in the Desert, and the day-to-day life at Ka-Hoon. Somewhere along the way, we accidentally built a community of people who love humor, real life, and the raw desert stories just as much as we do.

**Thank you for every like, comment, share, and laugh.
We see you, and we appreciate you.**

Our next goal? **5,000 followers.**
And we’re bringing you along for the ride—dogs, events, music, weirdness, off-grid adventures and all.

If you’re new here, welcome to our little corner of chaos! Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes entertainment, campground updates, paranormal stories from the West Mesa, desert living tips, and of course… plenty of canine comedy.

I Didn’t Understand Why He Left… Until Years Later. My Thanksgiving Confession.

The Thanksgiving Thank-You I Never Got to Give — And Still Carry With Me**

**Plateau Hame de Colquhoun • Ka-Hoon Campground & Event Center • Colquhoun Entertainment**

Thanksgiving is the season for giving thanks… but sometimes the things we’re most thankful for are also the ones we look back on with a little regret.
This week, as I walked across the quiet desert at **Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center**, something heavy but heartfelt came to mind — a thank-you I never got to give.

When I was a young, naïve 21-year-old in college in Arkansas, I met someone who changed my world for a little while.
His name was **Billy**.

Billy quickly became my best friend.
We watched movies, hung out between classes, took spontaneous adventures — even spent Spring Break exploring Mississippi together. He was kind, funny, patient, and one of the first people who made me feel truly understood.

But I was young. And honestly? I didn’t know what I didn’t know.

Billy had told me he cared about me, but I didn’t recognize the hints. I saw him as my best friend — nothing more, nothing less. My parents warned me, “You can’t change him,” and I didn’t understand, because I loved him exactly as he was. I wasn’t trying to change anything. I just didn’t understand the depth of what he felt for me at the time.

Eventually, life moved on. I met someone, got married, and that’s when Billy told me he couldn’t stay in my life anymore.
He said it felt *awkward*.

I didn’t understand then why my best friend couldn’t stay my best friend.

But years later — after growing up, after life knocked me around a bit, after I learned how complicated hearts can be — I finally understood. And that realization stayed with me.

I’ve tried searching for him over the years, off and on, but without remembering his last name, it’s been next to impossible.

So this Thanksgiving, I’m putting this out into the world:

**Billy, if you’re out there, I’m sorry.**
I truly had no idea what you were trying to tell me back then.
I treasure the friendship we had, and I hope your life turned out full of the happiness you deserved.
And if you ever read this — I’d still love to reconnect, even just to say thank you.

Sometimes the people who help shape us never get to hear the impact they left behind.

This year, that’s my Thanksgiving reflection — gratitude for someone from long ago, and a hope that maybe this message finds its way home.

Why We REALLY Celebrate Turkey Day — And It’s Not the Story You Learned in School 🦃✨

Happy Turkey Day From Plateau Hame de Colquhoun: Thankful for Today, Building a Better Tomorrow**

Here at **Plateau Hame de Colquhoun**, also known as **Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center** and **Colquhoun Entertainment**, we celebrate **Turkey Day** for reasons far different from the stories many of us were told growing up.

We don’t celebrate because of the *Christopher Columbus myth* — the version that was polished, rewritten, and stripped of truth.
We celebrate to honor something real:
**Gratitude. Community. Growth. And the responsibility we all share to help build a better tomorrow.**

We can’t rewrite history,
we can’t undo the harm that was done,
but we *can* choose what we stand for today.

Here on the Plateau, Turkey Day is about:
✨ Giving thanks for the good in our lives
✨ Appreciating the people who walk beside us
✨ Opening our doors to neighbors, travelers, and friends
✨ Learning from the past so we don’t repeat it
✨ Creating community, kindness, and connection

Whether you’re celebrating with family, friends, your campground crew, or your off-grid desert tribe, we want to wish you a warm, joyful, and peaceful day.

**Happy Turkey Day from all of us at Ka-Hoon Campground and Colquhoun Entertainment!**

The Greenroom Is Almost Clean… and We’re Hosting TWO Turkey Days! 😂🦃🔥

🦃 Prepping the Greenroom for Community Turkey Day: Organized… Ish**

Today at **Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center**, we tackled one of the biggest challenges of the holiday season:
**Cleaning the Greenroom.**

Did we get it spotless?
No.
Did we get it clean *enough* to survive Community Turkey Day?
Absolutely.

We’ll call it “organized chaos”—the official décor style of Thanksgiving week on the **Plateau Hame de Colquhoun**. A few things still need to be built, a few things need a proper home, and a few items are currently living in the “temporary-but-maybe-permanent” pile. But hey—progress is progress.

This year, we’re hosting not one, but **two Community Turkey Day celebrations**!
Why two?
Because not everyone’s schedule lands perfectly on Thursday, and we believe everyone deserves a seat at the table, a warm meal, and a place to laugh with friends.

We picked up a **22-pound turkey**, ready to feed an army (or at least a hungry desert community). And the star of today’s prep?
The **Bean Cake**—yes, *that* Bean Cake—baked with love, chaos, and lots of encouragement during our morning TikTok livestream. Thank you to everyone who stirred, voted, commented, and laughed along with us. You are part of this tradition now.

As we roll into tomorrow and Friday, we’re excited, grateful, and only mildly exhausted. Community is what makes this place feel like home, and we can’t wait to share two days of food, stories, and laughter with all of you.

Happy almost-Turkey-Day from the desert!

Dog Sits ON His Sister… and Her Face Says EVERYTHING 😂🐾

**🐾 When Your Couch Turns Into a Canine Circus: Dreugan & Persephone’s Comedy Show**

Here at **Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center**, we see plenty of wild things out in the New Mexico desert—
but nothing, *nothing*, compares to the chaos that happens on our couch.

This week’s episode of **“Why Are the Dogs Like This?”** stars:
✨ **Dreugan**, professional troublemaker and self-appointed king of higher ground
and
✨ **Persephone**, long-suffering little sister with the patience of a saint

We captured not one, but *two* perfect photos of Dreugan perched directly on top of Persephone… on the couch… as if this is a normal household arrangement.

Persephone’s face says:
“I didn’t agree to this.”

Dreugan’s face says:
“I have achieved dominance. Bring snacks.”

If sibling rivalry had a mascot, it would be these two.

And honestly?
Out here on the **Plateau Hame de Colquhoun**, sometimes you just need a laugh, a deep breath, and a reminder that even the dogs are doing their best to stay warm, stay comfy, and stay dramatic.

If your Thanksgiving week is already chaotic—just remember:
At least nobody is sitting **on top of you**…
Hopefully.

Life is wild.
Dogs are ridiculous.
And we wouldn’t trade these desert moments for anything.

It’s Monday Before Thanksgiving… and Even the Mountain Has Given Up! 😂🌄

**Monday Before Thanksgiving: A Little Inspiration From Ladrón Peak**

It’s the Monday before Thanksgiving here at **Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center**, and as we look out toward the beautiful silhouette of **Ladrón Peak**, we’re taking a moment to breathe, smile, and laugh at ourselves—because if there’s one universal truth, it’s this:

**Nobody has their life together on the Monday before Thanksgiving. Not even the mountain.**

While some of us are trying to plan the perfect dinner, others are debating if pie for breakfast counts as “getting ahead.” And honestly? Ladrón Peak isn’t judging—it’s just standing there, doing its majestic thing, refusing to move on a Monday. A mood we can all relate to.

So take a breath, sip your coffee, and remember:

**You’ve got this.
Barely.
But still… you’ve got this.**

From all of us here at Plateau Hame de Colquhoun, we hope this week brings laughter, warmth, and maybe a nap or two before the turkey chaos begins.

He Was Told He May Never Sing Again… His Thanksgiving Comeback Will Leave You Speechless!

Giving Thanks: A Thanksgiving Message From Our Hearts at Ka-Hoon Campground

This year has tested us in ways we never expected. When Brent was injured and rushed into the ICU, spending a week undergoing emergency surgery, our world stopped. Doctors warned us that he might be headed to a rehab facility… and that he may never sing again.

But if there is one thing everyone knows about Brent, it’s that he doesn’t back down from a challenge. Just two days after surgery, he was singing again. While he still has obstacles ahead, his strength, determination, and passion have brought him nearly back to full singing power. His recovery has been nothing short of a blessing.

With Thanksgiving only days away, we want to take a moment to give our deepest gratitude to everyone who stood beside us through one of the hardest moments of our lives.

To our incredible neighbors who watched over our land, repaired our vehicles, made sure Anne got safely to work, and helped us with gas and food during the long hospital stay—thank you.

To my brother and his husband—thank you for helping our son fly down so he could be here with his dad when we needed him most.

To my parents and our neighbors—thank you for letting me fall apart when I needed to, for offering a shoulder to cry on, and for reminding me that we were not alone.

To our campers who stepped up to check other campers in, kept things running, and offered support—not just to us, but to one another—you are part of what makes Ka-Hoon truly special.

Although this chapter of our lives isn’t over and we still have challenges ahead, we want each and every one of you to know how much you mean to us. Your help, kindness, compassion, and love carried us through the darkest parts of this journey.

From our family, our crew, and everyone here at Ka-Hoon Campground and Plateau Hame de Colquhoun—
Thank you. Truly. Deeply. With all our hearts.

Dogs Take Over Music in the Desert?! Dreugan, Vibria & Crew Prepare for Tonight’s Show!

The Dogs Are Running the Show at Tonight’s Music in the Desert**

Tonight’s **Music in the Desert** livestream at **Ka-Hoon Campground** is already off to a hilarious start—because the dogs decided *they* are in charge. With **Dreugan** standing on top of the dog house like he’s the king of the desert, **Vibria** and **Persephone** battling it out in a tug-of-war showdown, and all four dogs lined up ready to catch a ball, it looks like the pre-show chaos might be just as exciting as the event itself.

As always, **Advocatus Diaboli** will be bringing the music, the desert will bring the magic, and the dogs… well… they’ll bring the comedy. Whether Dreugan is “guarding the perimeter,” Vibria is calling out moving leaves, or Persephone is training for her own dance floor debut, the buildup to tonight’s livestream has already become its own entertainment.

Join us for another unforgettable evening at **Plateau Hame De Colquhoun** during our **Music in the Desert** series, streaming live from our off-grid **Ka-Hoon Event Center**. With music, desert vibes, off-grid charm, and apparently a full cast of canine comedians, you never know what’s going to happen next.

Catch the livestream tonight at 5 PM MDT and be part of the desert’s most unpredictable off-grid music show.

Vibria Tries to Stop the Show?! Strangest Night Ever at Music in the Desert Livestream!

When Your Dog Becomes the Star of the Show at Music in the Desert**

Last night during the **Music in the Desert** livestream with **Advocatus Diaboli** here at **Ka-Hoon Campground** at **Plateau Hame De Colquhoun**, something completely unexpected happened—our usually calm pup **Vibria** decided she had *other plans* for the evening.

Normally, Vibria entertains herself with toys or sleeps quietly in her little hed under the table during the show. But not last night. She barked at me, pawed at everything, and made it very clear she wanted my attention *right now*.

Thinking she might need to go outside away from the leash, I took her to the RV where the other dogs were asleep. I let everyone out so they could stretch and use the bathroom, and assumed Vibria would want to stay with them.

Nope.

Instead, she grabbed her leash with her mouth like she was the one walking *me*, pulling me straight toward the pen… then immediately insisting on going back to the **music studio**. Even when we returned, she didn’t want to stay inside the studio, which is totally out of character for her.

Despite all the chaos, Vibria finished the show like a champ and even helped us break down equipment afterward. Once back at the RV, she happily played outside with the other dogs like nothing had ever happened.

Just another day of off-grid life, live music, and unpredictable animal adventures at **Ka-Hoon Event Center**.

If you missed last night’s livestream, don’t worry — more **Music in the Desert** shows are coming, and you never know which four-legged friend is going to steal the spotlight next!
