Camping and Movie Night is tonight!

August 19, 2023 Ka-Hoon Campground

Today is the Camping and Movie Night ! Movie starts at Dusk around 7:30 pm. Gates open for all at 5:30.

We’ll be playing Bohemian Rhapsody!

The movie is free
This is BYOB and 420 friendly event.

There will be a bonfire (Weather permitting)

Dusty Nail General Store will have a booth set up close to the movie. With glow sticks, LED and glow in the dark balloons, charms…

We will be ruffling off a 2 mystery gifts with $20. And $30 value. Tickets will be $1.00 each.

We do have plenty of campsites available to book online or upon arrival at the Dusty Nail booth.

General admission tickets for the West Mesa Haunted Hay Ride will be available at the Dusty Nail booth.

Campers that are pre-registered are welcome to come anytime after 2 pm today.

Make sure to follow the directions for on the website and not your GPS. If you go down the road that has a No RV sign then you have missed your turn.

Tomorrow is the Camping and Movie Night!!

Tomorrow August 19th is the Camping and Movie Night !

Make sure to follow the directions found on the website. Do not follow GPS.

Dusty Nail General Store will have a few items for sale at a stand during the movie. LED sticks, glow in the dark balloons, charms!

We will be ruffling off one surprise gift prize a $19.00 value! Tickets on sale $1.00 each. We can not take any large bills. Please bring change!

Campsites are still available for tomorrow’s movie. Book your site through the website or upon arrival. Please arrive early.

We will also be selling tickets for the West Mesa Haunted Hay Ride !

Mysteries of the West Mesa
“Another Sighting of the Man in Black”

On a dark night, while all the guys were off helping a neighbor, all of us gals were hanging out at our place.

Suddenly, all at once, the dogs started barking, motion detecters, and lights went off. With the dogs by my side, I went out to see what was going on.

In the glow of a security light, I saw a tall, slender man in black. I asked him to leave. stating that if he comes closer, the dogs will attack on command. But without saying anything, he slowly walked closer. I gave another warning. Asking him to leave.

He still said nothing and walked towards me. I then gave the command and all the dogs charged towards the man in black.

I then rushed back towards the RV, yelling for them to call the guys! The dogs know to only chase for a short distance before returning.

We did report the man in black and did not find any other traces that night.

Why is the man in black here? What does he want?

Movie is FREE

Camping is available, book your campsites through the website or upon arrival at the Dusty Nail General Store .

Movie starts at Dusk: approx 7:30
Gates open 5:30

Campers and VIP parking are allowed to arrive anytime after 2 pm.

Earlier arrival is available. Please contact us with your arrival time.

We ask that all campers arrive before the movie starts.

This is a BYOB and 420 friendly event.

Make sure to follow the directions found on the website.

What to bring:

Chair or blanket to sit on
Dress for the weather (it does cool down a little at night)
Cooler for your drinks or food
Drinks
Food, snacks

We do not allow underage drinking or consumption of 420. We have zero tolerance for this and you will be requested to leave.

Do NOT drive under the consumption of alochol or 420.
We have camping available if you’d like to party some and not drive.
If your drinking or stone and haven’t booked a campsite sleep it off in your vehicle.

***Do NOT drive, do NOT put yourself and others at risk. ***

Grilling at your campsites or by your vechicles are allowed. General admission gates open 2 hours before the movie starts.

What is it like living off-grid, in the desert, in the middle of nowhere?

We get asked this question often..

Well. here is our answer…

Living off-grid , not living the “society” norm has been one of the best. while the hardest things we have ever done.

To name a few pros and cons to living off-grid in the desert includes

A LOT of sand, heat, wind, beautiful skies, views, quiet, wild animals, nature…

Great neighbors, Washboard roads, live music, campers, sky gazers, wind, private events, movies, and a safe place to just be yourself.

wind, heat, family, plus much more.

Oh, and did I forget to mention the wind?

If you don’t mind these things, then this may be your type of lifestyle.

“Sighting of the Man in Black”

While a neighbor and his family were traveling to town. They all noticed a person dressed in all black standing between two other neighbors’ residence.The man in Black was standing still watching them drive down the road.

The neighbor slowed down to get a better look at this man in black. But as soon as he slowed down, the man took off.

The neighborhood watch searched for the man or for any evidence of him, but nothing was found.

Who is this man in black? and why is he here?

The West Mesa Haunted Hay Ride is approaching fast! Two (2) nights of Haunted Hayrides, bonfires, food vendor, entertainment and Saturday night after party!

Saturday night Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band will be proforming! This is a adult show.

Viewers Discretion Advised This hay ride and show are not appropriate for all ages, adult language, content, violence.
Attendees under age 16 Not recommended.

Mysteries of the West Mesa
“Hiding”
While sitting inside relaxing the dogs started barking and acting aggressively. Brent went outside to see what the dogs could hear. After walking around we could not see anything.
Even after he went out the dogs seemed to have become even more aggressive. I decided to check the cameras while the search continued. When I checked the camera that had been under the Greenroom. I saw one of the most frightening thing I’ve ever seen.I saw what looked like someone hiding under the Greenroom. (Photo in the video is the actual photo from the security camera) But by the time Brent went back out and inspected the area noone was there.

“The man in Black”

Starting in June of 2023

While a neighbor was out on his daily neighborhood watch. He noticed a man in black walking around another neighbors’ driveway.
Thinking it was that neighbor, he waved and headed home. Once home, he found out the neighbor where he had seen the man in black at had been out of town.
He rushed back to find that the man in black was gone
Upon further investigation, nothing appeared to me missing, or disturbed. Other random sightings have been noted of this man in black.
Who is this man in black, and why is he here?

August 19th Camping and Movie Night is less than a week away! Come hang out in middle of nowhere under the cover of the beautiful New Mexico skies!
