2023 Belen New Mexico Fireworks from the West Mesa!

Last night we were almost filled up with campers. It was a nice site to see and most we’ve had at once.

I’m not sure what our plans are today, we still have campers, and need to get a few things ready for a private event on the 4th.

We have 13 more days until the July Camping and Movie Night ! Camping, stars, and a movie, what more could you ask for?

Ridge Road on the West Mesa

Not much to report here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun we worked most of yesterday unpacking and putting all JAFO Productions CDs on the new shelves. Today we had planned to work on the books.

We have a few private events booked for this week, and campers coming in.

We have a few campers booked for the July Camping and Movie Night ! If you plan to camp or park close in the VIP parking make sure to book your spot!

The movie is free and free parking is available, there is a little hike from the parking lot.

Working in the Studio

Though it’s hot we are working in the studio, today we got the shelves up and working on putting the CDs in place. We are in need of at least one more book shelves to get all the books out of storage.

JAFO Productions Studio at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

The JAFO Productions new studio. Not set up yet, still need one or 2 more book shelves, cd racks are on their way. Once the shelves are in place the studio can be set up. Then let the recording begin! That is if other projects don’t get in the way. (to name a few) Fixing the roof on the battery house, lining the “hut” compost toilet, building the shower we keep putting on the back burner for other projects.

Dusty Nail General Store built out of Shipping Box

Dusty Nail General Store build here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun.  The store building was originally a shipping box, used to ship large items. A local business builds these boxes, many times once used they are sent back to be reused, or sold.

Stage Build using Powerline Poles, Plastic Pallets at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

As many know this spring we built a new stage using old powerline plugs (plugs are part of the old powerline pole that was in the ground) osb and plastic pallets. Before this build we had plastic pallets sitting on some wooden pallets on the ground. we did plan to build a roof over the stage. But had to use the funds we saved up to buy a Studio Trailer.
