Nomad Gathering in the Desert

I think I have Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band talked into playing a Saturday night show during the NM 2024 Nomad Gathering in the Desert in May.

So far the schedule is: (subject to change)

Friday night:

  • Opening meeting
  • Talent show
  • Movie or bonfire drumming
    Saturday:
  • Morning meeting (workshops other events added during meetings)
  • Potluck lunch
  • Tour of the mesa
  • Concert
  • Bonfire
    Sunday
  • Morning meeting
  • Silent Auction

This isn’t the finish Schedule and is subject to change at any time. We are open to suggestions. You are welcome to add an activities during Morning meetings.

Tickets for the Gathering will be available soon. You will be able to purchase online and at the gate.

Today is Druegans 3rd Birthday. If any of the dogs are going to get into trouble, it’s going to be him. He is also our most vocal but also protective. Happy birthday, Dreugy!

Happy New Year!

It’s Sunday the last day of 2023. We wish everyone a safe and Wonderful New years!

As many know we’ve been dealing with this flu crud that is going around. It seems to like us and hanging on. We just can’t seem to get rid of these coughs.

Yesterday we thought some fresh air may help, we decided to sit in the sun, play with the dogs, they git to run loose while we got a little yard work done, then we hung out and played in the dig yard. Idk if it helped but it was nice.

2023 at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

Cold 16 degree Saturday morning.  Just one more day left of 2023.

On January 3 of 2020, we purchased this piece of land that is now Plateau Hame De Colquhoun with dreams of becoming a place for people to come, relax, and be themselves. We never imagined that not only would our dream become a reality, but that neighbors who once were strangers are now family.

We thank Bob and Jannel,  H man, Brandon and Katie, Advocatus Diaboli, and the Grim Leafer Band. You all aren’t just neighbors. Friends, you are our family.  We’ve all helped each other through some tough times but in the end have all stood tall together.

Dealing with the Flu

A sunny Chilly Tuesday morning! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.  We stayed inside, watched some football, wishing this flu bug would hurry up and move on.  Each day we are feeling a little better.

Looks like we are going to have a sunny Sunday morning.

We haven’t posted the last couple days as Brent and I have the flu. Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band made it back, but we asked them not to come over until we aren’t contiguous.. We haven’t done anything but stay inside and sleep.

Yule at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

We had a nice yule bonfire last night before Bryandt head out for his journey back to Minnesota. 

We have had someone here since before the West Mesa Haunted Hay Ride . It seems so empty and quiet. No one is coming through the door for coffee, there’s no campers. It’s kinda weird… I got up like I usually do and made a huge pot of coffee forgetting it’s just Brent, Anne and I here. I guess we’ll be drinking alot of coffee today.

Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band will be back today or tomorrow. They headed out to play a gig. Brent JAFO Productions  was going to go and run sound for them, but with Bryandt visiting he didn’t think he should this time around. But Brent did set Advocatus Diaboli up with a nice sound system.

If everything works out we hope to get the Happy HORRORDAZE “Axe-Travaganza” recorded this weekend and uploaded.

Yule night at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun

We had a great feast with the neighbors yesterday. Tonight Bryandt is heading back, the camper left, Mrs. Advocatus Diaboli and the butcher are back, they all headed out for a few dayto do a gig.. It’ll feel weird having the place to ourselves again.

We are going to take advantage of the night and enjoy a bonfire to celebrate the shortest day of the year.
