Still no Delivery

November 22, 2020 Ka-Hoon Campground

It’s now Sunday and FedEx did not show up yesterday like they stated they would. We had plans of making a video of everything and using it today. Sorry there won’t be a Sunday video this week.

The FedEx shipment is well over 300 lbs and somewhat fragile. We can go and pick it all up with the trailer on the car, but fear pulling it over the dirt roads.

I don’t understand why all the packages could have gone through one service?! 9 of the packages where sent FedEx one came UPS and one USPS. We had the UPS dropped off at a Dropbox (We’ve already picked it up), we still have one waiting at the post office for us to pick up tomorrow, Monday.

Dealing with Deliveries

November 20, 2020 Ka-Hoon Campground

One down fall of living 15 miles down dirt roads is trying to get deliveries. USPS and UPS will not deliver, We’ve called the FedEx headquarters 3 times with directions, as the items are to big for drop off points, but they never put the notes on the order like they acknowledge, then the driver calls lost and over 50 miles away. So today the local warehouse calls, gets directions and says it’ll be delivered tomorrow.. FedEx has total of 9 deliveries headed this way..Soon we are hoping to announce what’s in these packages in an upcoming video. (If the deliveries make it).勞

Giving Up

Life out here is not easy. We love it, though there are times we feel like giving up, we’re far from everything and everyone we know. We are alone.

But during those times we realize that we are strong, and together the 3 of us, plus 2 dogs and a cat can make it on our own.

This beautiful untamed land, No one has lived on in at least 100 or more years. We have water, food, warmth and each other, we are Modern Pioneering!

No Wednesday Video

We wasn’t able to do a video this Wednesday. We will try to get back on track on Sunday.

We’re slowly working on getting things set up. UPS even mail won’t deliver here so to get things ordered has been a challenge. Which is slowing dome of our progress down. We are waiting to hear from the electric company on getting electric set up out here. Part of Modern Pioneerism!

Disappointed

After 3 days of wind, the wind finally subsided. Today we had an appointment with the electric Company to inspect the property to see if we can get electricity. But upon inspection we were told that his company doesn’t supply electricity in this area. One thing I don’t understand is we gave the company our address and even GPS, couldn’t they have looked it up the map and tell us? We had to make the appointment back in August. Now we’re starting over with another company that supposedly has service here.
