Most of the mowing is finished.. we plan on adding a couple more RV pull thru in area of first picture. One left we are going to put a spot for buses, coaches.
Circle (second picture) is finished, we made the fire pit circle bigger, still working on getting all weeds/grass out if the part we extended. The idea is that it should be as barefoot safe as any sandy place (still at your own risk). The cactus garden is growing and doing good (maybe next year we’ll have prickly pear fruit)! I’ll get pictures as soon as can!
Plateau Hame De Colquhoun once again is mostly booked up for the weekend. We are now rated as a star host highest rating for the platform.. Fingers crossed we keep staying booked up!
Have most of the mowing finished🤣🤯, items purchased (hopefully)🤑 to finish up the solar. Now just need to have a day that isn’t raining☔ or we have other commitments🦧 so we can finish up the solar.
We are booked heavy for the next couple weeks or so, but if you are interested in reserving a spot for a night, two or even longer visit our Plateau Hame De Colquhoun Facebook!
Plateau Hame De Colquhoun our goal is to live off our land without leaving much of a carbon footprint. We have opened our land in hopes that others can come be themselves, relax, explore, learn or teach within a safe Environment!
Living where no man has lived before, to build a homestead, live off grid has many challenges.. Not only dealing with nature but our own emotions and inner challenges.
We are slowly getting closer to have our home set up. Room for friends or family to come visit or just hang out. A place for Brent to complete his own or someone else’s music or festivals with bands. Brent has all equipment and lights to host bands or DJ for an event!
Though we have many projects we still would like to complete; Stage, deck, shower…

We took a break from working on solar, and other projects at home Plateau Hame De Colquhoun and went on a short trip to help and visit with family, and friends in Ruidoso!
When ever we go on a trip we have a rule that at every overnight spot or attraction we go to we need to get something from there, that we place in our scrapbook of remembrance.

If it’s not having to run for lumber or parts that slowing the solar ground mount build, it’s the 110 temperatures and rain. We are hoping to have mounts up in the next day or two. Putting the panels on may have to wait as we have some commitments coming up.
