We are Art of Tiny Living Brent, Melodie and Anne. We started out our journey earlier in 2020 when we purchased 5 acres of vacant property overlooking the Rio Grande, and a class C (LAZY DAZE) RV that has become our home and road bound accommodation.
Our journey hasn’t always been easy, since moving onto this beautiful piece of property thats 15 miles down gravel roads with mountainous scenery and view of the Rio Grande Valley. Somedays we’ve had struggles through the elements (mostly winds) and question being as prepared….but Pioneerism is taking advantage of what we can and learning from what we had not anticipated…..this is our journey, come along….and paint your wagon, or van or Rv…
We wasn’t able to do a video this Wednesday. We will try to get back on track on Sunday.
We’re slowly working on getting things set up. UPS even mail won’t deliver here so to get things ordered has been a challenge. Which is slowing dome of our progress down. We are waiting to hear from the electric company on getting electric set up out here. Part of Modern Pioneerism!
Tiny Living: “Modern Pioneerism” or “When Google thinks it knows the way home.”
Follow along while we’re making our mark on the land, as modern pioneers there are a few creature comforts to take care of. Yet, here we are…because we told Google this is us.
Follow along as we attempt to find alternative ways off the mesa and different routes to our land.. we are modern pioneer/settlers in this wild land we call home.
Our first from the “Land of Enchantment “ follow along as we learn and fail and succeed in our attempt to be modern pioneer/settlers in this wild land we call home.
Just in our first week here on our beautiful property in New Mexico, we’ve had to deal with extreme climate changes from sunny 80 degree weather to snowy 20 degree. From calm to 45 mph winds.
We love it here at our property. As we create what becomes the learning curve, there is one clear understanding. We are settling in a land that no one has ever lived before! Why might this be? Because its not an easy place to live. Today we have had such an opponent, the demon of the land…wind and sand. What did we learn??? Dig deeper into its heart and anchor,, and keep structure tighter than the ribs that hold its breath. We battle again at dawn…..
