**Music in the Desert Talent Show and Karaoke Recap**
We had an amazing turnout at our September 14th **Music in the Desert Talent Show and Karaoke**! Thanks to all who joined us for a night filled with fantastic talent, music, and fun. **Advocatus Diaboli and Shamshini** made special appearances, bringing their unique brand of entertainment to the stage. From dancing to live music, the energy was infectious. If you missed it, parts of the show were streamed live on our Facebook page, so be sure to check that out!
**What’s Coming Up?**
**Halloween Hootenanny** – **October 19th**
Get ready for 4 days of music, spooky fun, and camping in the desert! Join us for **Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band** live on stage, creepy-crawly campsite trick-or-treating, and so much more. Don’t forget to secure your campsite early, as spots are filling up fast. Tickets are available online or at the event.
**Halloween Dance of the Dead** – **November 1st**
Head over to **Red Gorilla Studios** in Albuquerque for a night of music and mayhem with **Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band**. Put on your best costumes, and join us for an unforgettable night!
**Updates from the Campground**
Our fall camping season is in full swing, and we’ve had a great group of campers rolling through. If you’re looking for a unique desert getaway, make sure to reserve your spot soon!
**Puppy News**
Our new puppy, **Vibria**, is settling in nicely! She’s still tiny, but full of energy and loves meeting new people. Make sure to say hi if you see her roaming around the campground.

Halloween Hootenanny & Dance of the Dead: Live Performances by Advocatus Diaboli & Grim Leafer Band!
Yesterday, we took the day off and relaxed by watching football with our neighbors. After dropping Anne off at work, we enjoyed some downtime, caught a few games, and did a few small tasks around the house. It was a nice break, especially after the excitement of Saturday’s Music in the Desert Talent Show and Karaoke.
This week is going to be busy with appointments and Anne’s work schedule. We also have to take care of a few things, like putting new brakes on the car. Most importantly, we’ll be spending a lot of time rehearsing, as ** Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band ** has some upcoming shows! We’ve got a few new songs to introduce, and we’re fine-tuning all the new conversions we’ve made. During Saturday’s show, we found an error in one of the songs, but it ended up being a funny moment. We’ll definitely be fixing that one—but we might just keep the mixed-up version for laughs!

Music in the Desert Talent Show & Karaoke – Camp, Sing, and Enjoy a Night of Fun in the Desert!
I’ve been down with some stomach issues the last couple of days. It’s slowly getting better, but I haven’t felt up to doing much.
This weekend, we’re gearing up for the Music in the Desert Talent Show and Karaoke, which should be a great time for everyone.
Before this, we were busy working in the studio, rewriting and organizing songs for the Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band show. We’ve made some good progress, but there’s still more to do. The work we’re putting in will make it much easier to set up and run the music during the performance.
We also had a nice week of campers coming in and even sold some registrations for the Halloween Hootenanny! It’s going to be 4 days of fun and activities in the New Mexico desert, with music, Creepy Crawl campsite-to-campsite trick-or-treating, and more.

Day 3 in the Studio: Progress on Advocatus Diaboli & The Grim Leafer Band Show Notes
After a long day in the studio working on music and show notes for the Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band show, we’re finally making progress. It’s day 3, and even though it’s been the longest day so far, we’re about halfway through. Luckily, we’ve found some faster methods to streamline things. The heat wasn’t extreme today, but it was enough to make my phone overheat multiple times. Now, after all the hard work, we’re winding down, watching some football with a few neighbors and taking it easy.

Here are a few treat ideas to make your campsite stand out during the Creepy Crawl:
– **Cupcakes:** Easy to make and decorate with spooky themes like ghosts, spiders, or pumpkins. Cupcakes are a great option for both kids and adults.
– **Classic Candy:** You can’t go wrong with the tried-and-true. Stock up on your favorite candies for a guaranteed hit.
– **Glow Sticks:** A fun and safe treat, especially for kids. They can double as safety accessories when it gets dark.
– **Mixed Drinks & Punches:** For the adults, why not prepare some festive Halloween-themed beverages? Just be sure to check armbands to verify age before serving.

Also, please be mindful of those who do not consume alcohol or 420. Respect everyone’s choice, and remember that “no” means “no.”
**New Service Considerations:**
We’re also exploring the idea of offering a shuttle service for campers, either to pick up Walmart orders or to drive individuals into town. This would make it more convenient for those who need to run errands or grab supplies. However, we haven’t made a final decision on whether this service will be feasible or necessary.
