Mysteries of the West Mesa “Sucked Off “

Mysteries of the West Mesa

“Sucked Off”

One May night, we had gone to bed early after a long day of working.

While laying in bed with the box fan in the window, blowing the cool night air. When suddenly the fan stopped and started turning backward, it felt as if the air was being sucked out of the room.

Our first thought was that the solar went out. but everything else was on and working.

Just as we reached the fan to see if something was wrong with it, it started running like nothing happened

Being from the midwest, our thoughts went to it being a tornado, we rushed outside, but to our surprise, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.

As we stand outside looking confused, what looked like military helicopters come flying in. They had stopped over us for a few seconds before moving on.

What do you think? Aliens? or something else?

Rebuilding Studio steps

Yesterday, we were able to get one set of stairs completed. It was a learning experience. We ended up using prybars and sawall to cut the bolts to the old boards. It still was a slow process, but we got it done.

There are only two more sets of stairs to go….

Starting on some projects

Well yesterday we did a thing… We went and got all the lumber to build the solar we’ve been putting off (didn’t want to spend the money), we will also be fixing all the stairs (Green room, Battery house and to the studio). And putting up some fencing off the RV for the dogs.

The new solar will only be for the Beast (Our RV) and the shower. Which leaves the big solar for the studio, Greenroom and a few other things.

Days are getting cooler, which means it’s time to get a few projects done that we keep putting off.

Wednesday Morning no electric

It’s Wednesday and we have no electricity. It went out about 1 this morning. We figured it was going to happen as Monday it got cloudy towards the end of the day. Monday night we stayed longer in the Studio than we had planned.

Don’t worry we didn’t deplete the batteries, our system is setup to shut down when the batteries get to 50%. If we had electricity, or generator hooked up to the inverter, the inverter would auto switch to them when the batteries. We do have a genny that will run it, but doesn’t have to auto start that is needed.

The inverter auto starts when the batteries are fully charged. Which since today is still pretty cloudy we didn’t know if we’d get enough charge. But to our surprise as I’m writing this the power comes back on.

Rainy Tuesday

Rainy Tuesday here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun . The 70 degree day is nice. But the no sunshine, tomorrow is supposed to another cloudy day. Which means we need to limit the electric usage. No fans, tvs, music in the Studio. We can start a generator if we really wanted to, but we are cheap and don’t want to use the gas.

We have been working on getting everything setup and ready for the West Mesa Haunted Hay Ride !! The Hayride, and After Party proformance by Advocatus Diaboli is going to be awesome, we are so excited for it!!!

Advocatus Diaboli contacted us today to go over a few final details. This will be his first of hopefully many shows in New Mexico!!

Mysteries of the West Mesa “General Nathan Twining “

Mysteries of the West Mesa
“General Nathan Twining “

General Nathan twining was the General who investigated the Roswell Crash.General Nathan twinning was the General who investigated the Roswell Crash

At one time, General Twining owned all or most of the land on this end of the West Mesa

What was told to us was that the General believed this area to be a hot spot for aliens.

Our understanding is that no one lived on this land until the late 70s. When the Twining family gradually sold off the land.

Before that time, the land was used by the military

To this day, not far from us is GNTO General Nathan Twining Observatory.

Was the General, right? Is this a hot spot for aliens?

Come visit us during the West Mesa Haunted Hay Ride !
