While walking out of Home Depot they had a concrete sign sticking out by the door. We were hauling a cart full of lumber, Brent tripped over that sign, stubbing his toe and think he broke the big toe.
The toe is really swollen, black and blue with a lump. He worked through the pain working on the first set of stairs he was limping but could wear his shoes. But last couple days the swolling has been so bad he couldn’t put on his shoe.
So I made the decision that he’d stay off it for a few days at least. It hasn’t been an easy task keeping him off it. But the swolling has gone down a lot , it’s not as black, and the lump is still there.

One May night, we had gone to bed early after a long day of working.
While laying in bed with the box fan in the window, blowing the cool night air. When suddenly the fan stopped and started turning backward, it felt as if the air was being sucked out of the room.
Our first thought was that the solar went out. but everything else was on and working.
Just as we reached the fan to see if something was wrong with it, it started running like nothing happened
Being from the midwest, our thoughts went to it being a tornado, we rushed outside, but to our surprise, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.
As we stand outside looking confused, what looked like military helicopters come flying in. They had stopped over us for a few seconds before moving on.
What do you think? Aliens? or something else?

Yesterday, we were able to get one set of stairs completed. It was a learning experience. We ended up using prybars and sawall to cut the bolts to the old boards. It still was a slow process, but we got it done.

Well yesterday we did a thing… We went and got all the lumber to build the solar we’ve been putting off (didn’t want to spend the money), we will also be fixing all the stairs (Green room, Battery house and to the studio). And putting up some fencing off the RV for the dogs.
The new solar will only be for the Beast (Our RV) and the shower. Which leaves the big solar for the studio, Greenroom and a few other things.
Days are getting cooler, which means it’s time to get a few projects done that we keep putting off.

It’s Wednesday and we have no electricity. It went out about 1 this morning. We figured it was going to happen as Monday it got cloudy towards the end of the day. Monday night we stayed longer in the Studio than we had planned.
Don’t worry we didn’t deplete the batteries, our system is setup to shut down when the batteries get to 50%. If we had electricity, or generator hooked up to the inverter, the inverter would auto switch to them when the batteries. We do have a genny that will run it, but doesn’t have to auto start that is needed.
The inverter auto starts when the batteries are fully charged. Which since today is still pretty cloudy we didn’t know if we’d get enough charge. But to our surprise as I’m writing this the power comes back on.
