I been working on making mini sage smudge sticks, smokeless smudge sage powder and liquid! We will be selling the sage items along with other goodies for all that visit!!

Well had electrician come out and look at the solar for us.. The combiner box is bad, the new controller is “back-feeding” power.. Which is confusing everyone, as it’s hooked up right and shouldn’t be back-feeding.. So consensus is this controller is bad too.. The electrician believes that the combiner box killed both controllers, or we got 2 bad controllers..
So now we are once again dealing with the company.. We’re not sure about getting any replacements as we want things that work..
Sleeping mode, is all that the new solar will do.. After 4 hours on the phone with the tech today, only thing we figured out is possible bad combination box or yet another bad controller or both.. A tech is coming out in the morning to take a look.. There is power coming off the panels, but nothing from the combination box. First it was not getting all the parts sent, next bad controller and now this… We wonder is it ever going to work, did we waste money? Right now anxiety, moods, regret are high…
Music without a generator!!! We still are not sure about the solar, it’s still showing it’s in sleep mode, but the inverter, controller and our multimeter is showing the batteries are fully charged.
Today we are putting a little heavier load, to test it out. But even with 600 watt amp, and now fridge in the RV we are only using 14% of the batteries… So we’ll see how tonight goes with leaving the fridge on, see how it handles it.. (One step at a time)…
We are thinking we’re not pulling enough off it to put the controller in wake mode.
Fingers crossed this is the issue, cause it is nice to have enough electricity to run most everything!! Yet another #learningcurve … Once we feel secure with the solar we’ll finally get to move all our stuff out of storage and set up the containers music studio, library, living room, kichen…Which will require more #electric

Can you guess what I’m working on? No not rolling cigarettes…. Rolling mini sage smudge sticks from some freshly dried white sage!! We are hoping soon to add a store front out here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun , but until then sage is one of the few items we offer for campers to purchase..
Other items includes Desert Coffee (Mesquite coffee, we harvested and roasted the beans) it’s all a sweet coffee (more tea like but considered coffee) non caffeinated and very tasty.. so far it’s been a big hit!!

I guess I jinxed it… The controller won’t come off sleep mode.. We checked connection from the panels and they are all working.. The controller is a bit confusing, a lot of programing.. So we are more sure, we gave up after the sun gone down.. We are also hoping it might be due to the batteries being charged.. But still frustrating..

Been busy days working on the solar, campers coming in, and meeting a new neighbor. (Neighbor here is anyone that lives up here on the Mesa, this one is 3 miles from us). We like how all the neighbors know each other, watch out for and willing to help if needed.. We use to live in a town in Minnesota where we lived 10ft from neighbors on either side yet knew very little about them, we would try to be social but it’s different…
Not wanting to jinx it so won’t say we are planning to have the solar finished today… We’ll post an update once it’s completed!

Guess what came in today!! Now we need to hook everything up. We also decided to buy wire instead of moving the panels. Main reason being the panels are in a really good no shade spot, we move them closer they will get shade.
Now our rant….. We are soooo tired of dealing with getting anything delivered.. UPS especially, they will not deliver to our place.. We where told by a worker at the store that if we send packages directly to the UPS store in Los Lunas that they will not charge us to pick the packages up..
So we did this with the controller, but when I get there they inform me I had to pay $10.00, they don’t even say it nicely, very rude right away. I reminded them what I had been told, they start yelling at me and said they’ve told me multiple times (which they didn’t) “If we don’t rent one of their boxes, we have to pay”.. They then told me once I said “fine whatever, I shouldn’t have to pay when you guys refuse to deliver” That they don’t have to give me the package at all, even after I paid they informed me again they don’t have to give it to me.. They didn’t even hand me the package I had to get it off their scale.. They continued to mouth off about me while I was walking out. (Though I had said loudly you guys suck, and shouldn’t have to pay).. They are not quiet about it either, customers in the store heard the whole thing… Did they offer any alternatives other than us paying $45 a month for a box?? Nope..
Okay rant over…
A beautiful evening here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun No campers tonight but we’re almost fully booked up the rest of the week! Next week we are looking forward to possible campers coming in from Texas to enjoy the views and hopefully the serenity of the land.
Tomorrow the new controller is supposed to be delivered to the local UPS store (have we told you UPS, FedEx and USPS Business won’t deliver here? ) Deliveries has been a huge learning curve for us.
