This morning’s **Offgrid Talk** took a whole new turn as I walked it right to the edge—literally. Living on top of the mesa at **Plateau Hame de Colquhoun** gives us some of the most breathtaking views in New Mexico, but today the Rio Grande Valley looked especially magical.
Out here, the desert air feels different. The wide-open sky, the crisp silence, and the endless stretch of the **New Mexico desert** bring a sense of grounding that you just can’t find anywhere else. As I hiked along the ridge, I kept thinking about how many people dream of living offgrid but never get to witness moments like this—moments where nature does all the talking.
