Instead of crowded restaurants and noisy bars, you’re invited to a free live music experience straight from the desert. Music in the Desert returns with a special Gothic Valentine edition, featuring Advocatus Diaboli, Melodious, and Shamshini performing an intimate off-grid acoustic show you can watch from anywhere.

Our performances happen at Plateau Hame de Colquhoun, a unique off-grid campground and creative space where music, art, and nature meet. Every show is live, unscripted, and a little unpredictable — we truly never know where the music will take us.

This isn’t a studio-polished concert.
It’s real music, real atmosphere, and real moments.

We perform surrounded by desert skies, candlelight, and creativity. Sometimes it’s calm and beautiful. Sometimes chaotic and funny. Sometimes deeply emotional. That’s part of what makes Music in the Desert different from a typical livestream.

Off-Grid Weather Strikes Again! Live Desert Music Show STILL Happens | Music in the Desert

🌵 Living Off-Grid Reality: Weather, Solar Power & Music in the Desert

One thing about **living off-grid** that many people don’t realize is how deeply connected daily life is to **nature and weather** — especially when your electricity is **100% solar dependent**.

On cloudy or rainy days, power can become **very limited or unavailable**. And of course, today — **the very day we had a show scheduled** — the desert decided to remind us who’s really in charge.

### ⚡ Solar Power Isn’t the Real Issue

People often assume the problem is electricity, but in this case, **it’s not the solar system**. We *can* run generators when needed.

The real challenge today is **internet access**.

## 🌧️ Why Weather Affects the Show

Our **indoor stage**, just like our studio, requires the doors to stay **closed during rainy and windy weather** to protect equipment and ensure safety.

Unfortunately:

* Closed doors = **no internet signal**
* No internet = **no livestream capability**

Because of this, there simply isn’t enough space in the studio to host the **full band setup** tonight.
