Here at Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center, we’ve been working hard to ensure your experience remains unforgettable, whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, one of our exciting events, or just to escape the daily grind.
### **What’s Happened So Far**
**1. Music in the Desert Talent Show & Karaoke Night Recap**
Our August **Music in the Desert Talent Show and Karaoke Night** was a hit! We had a fantastic turnout with some amazing performances under the stars. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the night a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one on **Saturday, September 14th**—mark your calendars!
**2. Surviving the Summer Heat**
The desert heat has been intense this year, but we’re managing to stay cool with some creative solutions, like bringing our wind tunnel fan from the music studio into the RV. We hope you’ve found ways to beat the heat as well. Remember, the evenings are cooler, so take advantage of the beautiful desert nights!

**1. September Music in the Desert Talent Show and Karaoke**
Get ready for another fantastic evening! Our September ** September Music in the Desert Saturday ** is scheduled for **Saturday, September 14th**. Come out and enjoy a night filled with talent, music, and fun. Whether you’re performing or just watching, it’s sure to be a great time. Don’t forget to bring your camping gear and make a weekend of it!
**2. Members Weekend**
Our **Members Weekend** is right around the corner! We host a special members-only event each month, where members get free camping and the chance to choose the activities. Whether you’re into hiking, music, or just relaxing by the fire, there’s something for everyone. Plus, as a member, you get discounts on our events, items in the Dusty Nail General Store, and more.
**3. Early Bird Sales Ending Soon for the Halloween Hootenanny**
Don’t forget to grab your tickets for the ** Halloween Hootenanny **! This 4-day Halloween celebration is packed with live music, campsite trick-or-treating, a scavenger hunt, and so much more. Early bird sales end on **September 17th**, so make sure to secure your spot before prices go up. You won’t want to miss this spooktacular event!

Surviving the Desert Heat: Behind the Scenes at KaHoon Campground
**Surviving the Heat and Looking Forward to Our Members Weekend**
This year’s heat has been relentless. Normally, we can manage, but with temperatures soaring early in the year and showing no signs of letting up, it’s been a real challenge. Yesterday, we decided to bring in the big wind tunnel fan from our music studio to help cool down the RV. It made a difference—while it was a scorching 115°F outside, we managed to keep it at 92°F inside. In the evenings, when the temperature finally drops, it’s actually cooler outside than in. We often sit outside to cool off, but by then, the heat of the day has left us exhausted. Not complaining, but… well, maybe just a little!
### **Exciting Perks for Our Members**
Despite the heat, we’re looking forward to our upcoming Members Weekend. Each month, we host a members-only event where camping is free, and members get to decide on the activities. Membership comes with some great perks, including discounts on all events we host, items in the Dusty Nail General Store, and camping. Members also enjoy exclusive access to the Cahoots Courtyard when it’s a VIP area, one free night of camping, and free admission to the Halloween Hootenanny.
