Living offgrid in the New Mexico desert, rain is a cherished blessing that we eagerly await. It is a rare and precious commodity that we do not take for granted. Often, we find ourselves gazing at the storm clouds, wondering if we will finally get to feel the rain pour down on us. It is a beautiful spectacle to behold, as the thunder rumbles and the lightning strikes, but it is also a reminder of the power and unpredictability of nature.
