**Surviving the Heat and Looking Forward to Our Members Weekend**
This year’s heat has been relentless. Normally, we can manage, but with temperatures soaring early in the year and showing no signs of letting up, it’s been a real challenge. Yesterday, we decided to bring in the big wind tunnel fan from our music studio to help cool down the RV. It made a difference—while it was a scorching 115°F outside, we managed to keep it at 92°F inside. In the evenings, when the temperature finally drops, it’s actually cooler outside than in. We often sit outside to cool off, but by then, the heat of the day has left us exhausted. Not complaining, but… well, maybe just a little!
### **Exciting Perks for Our Members**
Despite the heat, we’re looking forward to our upcoming Members Weekend. Each month, we host a members-only event where camping is free, and members get to decide on the activities. Membership comes with some great perks, including discounts on all events we host, items in the Dusty Nail General Store, and camping. Members also enjoy exclusive access to the Cahoots Courtyard when it’s a VIP area, one free night of camping, and free admission to the Halloween Hootenanny.

Behind the Scenes: Preparing for the Epic Advocatus Diaboli Performance!
**Embracing the Heat and the Challenge**
The days have been scorching, and we’ve been hard at work in the studio preparing for Saturday’s performance by Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band at Red Gorilla Studios in Albuquerque. We’re implementing many exciting changes, which has been a considerable amount of work. As someone who isn’t naturally musically inclined, learning to operate three animatronics and synchronizing parts within a song has been quite a challenge.
Despite the difficulties, I’m pleasantly surprised at how I’m picking it up. With support from those around me and a lot of practice, I’m starting to see how everything is coming together. I’ve found myself enjoying the process more than I expected.
Having never grown up around music, I never imagined myself in this role. However, I’m embracing the challenge and am committed to succeeding where I once thought I couldn’t. The effort is well worth it, and I’m excited about the progress we’re making.

Embracing Off-Grid Living: Building Community and Overcoming Challenges at Ka-Hoon Campground
At Ka-Hoon Campground, we’ve been hard at work preparing for our upcoming live concert and Saturday’s karaoke and talent show extravaganza. Despite the scorching desert heat slowing us down, our dedicated team is committed to ensuring an unforgettable experience for all our guests.
With campers gracing our grounds almost every night, we’ve cherished the opportunity to connect with them and share stories under the starlit sky. Living off-grid in the desert has taught us invaluable lessons about the importance of community. In this vast expanse of wilderness, having trustworthy neighbors is not just convenient; it’s essential.
We’ve come to rely on our neighbors for support, whether it’s watching over our property while we’re away or lending a helping hand in times of need. However, this journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Despite our best intentions, we’ve encountered individuals who’ve betrayed our trust by spreading false rumors and hurtful gossip.
It’s a painful lesson, but one that has reinforced the importance of surrounding ourselves with genuine, supportive individuals. While it’s never easy to sever ties with former friends, we understand that protecting our peace of mind and preserving the integrity of our community is paramount.
As we continue to navigate the complexities of off-grid living, we’re grateful for the bonds we’ve forged with our true neighbors – those who stand by us through thick and thin. Together, we’ll weather the challenges of desert life and celebrate the spirit of camaraderie that defines Ka-Hoon Campground.
Join us as we embrace the beauty of off-grid living and cultivate a community built on trust, respect, and shared experiences. At Ka-Hoon Campground, everyone is welcome to find solace under the desert sky and forge lasting connections that transcend the heat and hardships of the wilderness.
