Four Dogs, One Desert Dream: A Comedy Script About Community, Support & Staying Weird**
In the middle of the desert, four very different dogs gather around a dusty old picnic table to discuss something important. Not bones… not treats… not who stole the warm spot on the bed this morning.
Nope.
They’re talking about *support*, *community*, and something surprisingly human—**sponsorships**.
The pack leader clears his throat like he’s about to give a State of the Union speech.
The youngest is already chewing on a cactus like it’s a snack.
The fancy one adjusts his imaginary bowtie.
And the unpredictable one? She’s upside down for absolutely no reason.
They aren’t promoting anything.
They aren’t selling anything.
They’re just… talking.
(Like desert dogs do.)
Their conversation turns surprisingly inspiring as they discuss how support—whether for a campground, a creative project, or a weird desert community—helps things grow. They talk about how every little bit of help makes a huge difference. They talk about how being part of something bigger than themselves feels good.
And they do it all with chaos, comedy, and fur flying everywhere.
This dog-powered script is a reminder that support doesn’t always come from big corporations or fancy sponsors. Sometimes it comes from the heart, from people who believe in your little patch of desert magic, and from four dogs who definitely shouldn’t be allowed to make business decisions… but somehow make sense anyway.
If you’re building a community, dreaming big, or building something weird and wonderful in the desert—these dogs get it.
And their message is simple:
**Support what you love, help good things grow, and don’t forget to laugh along the way.**

Creative Desert Life: Advocatus Diaboli Live, Flora Hamlet Art & Handmade Creations at Ka-Hoon!
**Life at Ka-Hoon Campground: Art, Music, and Creativity in the Desert**
It’s been a quiet stretch here at Ka-Hoon Campground, but the warming days have given us the opportunity to tackle a few outdoor chores and enjoy some fresh air. While not much has been happening to report on, we’re still keeping busy in our own creative ways.
Brent has been hard at work with Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band, preparing for more live performances on TikTok. These animatronic-driven shows are always a hit, and we’re excited to bring them back to our online audience soon!
Meanwhile, I’ve been revisiting a personal project I started back in Ruidoso: my *Flora Hamlet Project*. It’s a leather-bound art book filled with intricate drawings inspired by nature, particularly flowers. Each flower becomes a character, and their vines symbolize arms and legs, connecting them to one another—a visual representation of how everything and everyone is interconnected. It’s been a while since I’ve drawn, so it’s taken me some time to get back into the groove, but it’s been rewarding to see the project come back to life.
For those interested, prints from the *Flora Hamlet Project* are available at the Dusty Nail General Store, alongside my crocheted creations like gnomes, mushrooms, hats, and stuffed animals. Some of these crochet pieces are also sold at the merch table during Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band’s performances.
Anne has been equally busy juggling work, rehearsals, and spending time with her boyfriend, making the most of each day.
While things may feel slower at times, we’re always finding ways to stay creative and share our work with others. Follow along for updates on live performances, art projects, and all things Ka-Hoon Campground!
