Life out here is not easy. We love it, though there are times we feel like giving up, we’re far from everything and everyone we know. We are alone.
But during those times we realize that we are strong, and together the 3 of us, plus 2 dogs and a cat can make it on our own.
This beautiful untamed land, No one has lived on in at least 100 or more years. We have water, food, warmth and each other, we are Modern Pioneering!

After 3 days of wind, the wind finally subsided. Today we had an appointment with the electric Company to inspect the property to see if we can get electricity. But upon inspection we were told that his company doesn’t supply electricity in this area. One thing I don’t understand is we gave the company our address and even GPS, couldn’t they have looked it up the map and tell us? We had to make the appointment back in August. Now we’re starting over with another company that supposedly has service here.

Today we had headed out to tour a local ghost town, though this wasn’t the ghost town we where looking for, this one turned out to be more interesting. The ruins are from Native American’s before the Spanish came to New Mexico. So we’re thinking 1700’s! Was well worth the trip, though info on the ruins been nice, we Google searched to fine info on them.
