**Thanksgiving at Ka-Hoon Campground: A Celebration of Community and Laughter**
Thanksgiving is a time to come together, share delicious food, and create cherished memories. Here at Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center, we were thrilled to host a festive celebration in the heart of the New Mexico desert. With our neighbors and friends joining in, the evening was filled with gratitude, laughter, and community spirit.
We enjoyed a mouthwatering feast featuring ham, turkey, and an array of side dishes generously brought by everyone who attended. The collaboration made the meal even more special, reminding us of the joy in sharing and contributing to a collective experience.
A highlight of the evening was our annual tradition—**Dirty Bingo with White Elephant gifts**. This fun and lighthearted game had everyone laughing and enjoying the creative, quirky surprises that came with each gift exchange. It’s always a hit, and this year was no different!
As we reflect on the warmth and joy of this year’s Thanksgiving, we are reminded of the incredible sense of community that makes Ka-Hoon Campground so unique. Whether it’s sharing a meal, playing games, or simply enjoying each other’s company, these moments are what truly matter.
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, and great food. Stay tuned for more events and gatherings as we move into the holiday season. Here’s to creating more memories together in our beautiful desert oasis!

Life in the New Mexico Desert: Embrace the Unique at Ka-Hoon Campground & Advocatus Diaboli’s Shows!
Living in the New Mexico desert brings a unique, peaceful lifestyle that my family and I cherish. Unlike those seeking attention, you won’t often see me in our videos—we love to share our adventures but prefer to keep our lives private. Yet, many have asked to know more about who we are. So here’s a glimpse: we’re simply people who care, who appreciate the unusual and mysterious. We love ghost stories, aliens, even a few conspiracies. Halloween is our favorite time of year, and our collection of weird and symbolic objects reflects our love for the strange. We aren’t religious, but we are deeply spiritual.
Living off-grid in the desert has brought its challenges, not just from nature but also from misunderstandings about who we are. People have told us we “live in the gray area” or “outside the box,” and we don’t disagree. We keep our minds open and welcome anyone who comes to us with respect. However, this openness has been tested. We’ve had to learn the hard way that not everyone truly needs help—some people just want to take advantage. And while we love to lend a hand, we now do so carefully, knowing we can’t afford to be used.
Our values are simple: honesty, respect, and a nonjudgmental approach. But we’re also protective of what matters to us—our family, friends, and beliefs. As much as we strive to stay open-minded, there are times we need to assess others’ intentions. It’s not always easy to live without some judgment when we’ve had visitors attempt to “dig up dirt” on us. The truth is, there’s nothing to hide; we are who we are, but we’ll still defend our boundaries when necessary.
Unfortunately, we’ve also had our share of rumors and negativity directed our way, which has been a difficult pill to swallow. I’m a sensitive person, and these false stories do hurt. I know that even bad publicity can bring awareness, but it doesn’t make it any easier to hear. Living out here has taught us to stay true to ourselves and focus on what truly matters: a life of freedom, mystery, and respect.

Behind the Scenes: Preparing for the Nomad Gathering and Exciting Events Ahead!
**”Behind the Scenes: Preparing for the Nomad Gathering and Beyond”**
—
Our days are a blend of outdoor work, studio sessions, and quality time with our furry companions. Yesterday followed this familiar rhythm—starting with morning coffee and playtime with the dogs before heading outdoors to complete the final stages of our grounds preparation. We raked the area around the communal firepit, leaving just a few finishing touches.
Later in the day, we retreated to the studio to put the finishing touches on event materials. I wrapped up the flyers and welcome packets, complete with special surprises for those who’ve pre-registered for the upcoming Nomad Gathering.
Looking ahead, our calendar is filled with exciting events. In a few weeks, we’re hosting a members-only night. Then, on June 6th at 6 PM, Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band will perform live online on Clapper—a show you won’t want to miss. June is packed with Music Saturday and members-only events, leading up to our 4th of July party featuring more live music from Advocatus Diaboli and the Grim Leafer Band.
As summer unfolds, we’ll continue to host Music Saturdays every 2nd Saturday of the month and members-only gatherings on the 4th Saturday. In October, get ready for our Halloween Party, followed by the renowned Rangoli celebration.
Stay tuned for updates and join us for these unforgettable events!
