Yesterday, April 13th, marked an exciting milestone for us here at Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center in the New Mexico desert. We hosted our first event of the 2024 season, and it was a delightful gathering filled with music, new friendships, and delicious homemade food.
Our guests enjoyed playing music, sharing stories, and dining on an array of delectable dishes. The menu featured homemade Scottish scone chicken Alfredo and cabbage pizza. We even conducted a test run for a unique culinary creation: Scottish scone pizza. With a few minor tweaks, we’re confident it will become a crowd favorite and a perfect addition to our offerings.
Our goal in introducing Scottish scone pizza is to raise funds to support our mission of preserving the land. As development continues to expand rapidly in the area, we aim to protect this beautiful New Mexico desert landscape and provide a safe haven for visitors to enjoy its natural beauty.
While new housing developments and power lines may increase the value of our land, our priority is to maintain its integrity and history. We have heard (though unverified) that this end of the mesa holds special significance, and we strive to keep it that way for all to appreciate.
Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center aspires to be a place where people can experience the serenity of the desert while enjoying music, culture, and the preservation of the land’s heritage.
