Wow we are so pleased to have had many wonderful campers. We had a dream of sharing the beauty of our lands with others, to make a safe place for people to be who they are, to experience nature at it’s finest.. To stay on land that no one but us has lived.
So far we have loved meeting everyone and hope to see you all again and to meet many more!!

Views from Plateau Hame De Colquhoun ! We got news!!! The new controller had been shipped, since the one we had was out of stock we got upgraded to an OutBack controller, or so they say it’s a upgrade… We checked reviews and it does have better reviews so fingers crossed!!
Other news we are 15 foot short on our wiring from the inverter to the power panel.. We went to see about buying the whole 100 foot needed. But after pricing the wire we’ve decided we will be moving all the panels and the power box at least 15 foot closer 😦 .. If anyone is interested in helping we won’t turn ya away!!!
Beautiful morning here Plateau Hame De Colquhoun ! Didn’t get as cold as forecasted which is good. We’re still waiting on the AIM Solar Power Solutions replacement controller. If you missed the posts about it. Just after we got all batteries hooked up, the controller and inverter. We heard a pop and found the controller had died. We never even got to use it.. Now we’re being told that controller is out of stock.. So again we wait…

It’s hard to believe it’s been only a year. What we have accomplished during that time is hard to fathom. We went from all of us being in a 26 foot class C with portable carports (That winds kept destroying, we kept patching) for kitchen. To at 36foot class A, the class C, 3 containers, and an outdoor compost toilet. We now have finished getting our LLC for Plateau Hame De Colquhoun . Though solar is very very slowly getting finished, it’s almost complete! The land is getting to point all we need to do is maintain it! We are getting bookings!
Let’s hope the next year will be just as, if not more productive!!
One year ago today we arrived on our property Plateau Hame De Colquhoun ! Tonight we’ll be staying at a Harvest Host Starr Brothers Brewing Company in Albuquerque. Early in the morning we’ll be taking the Beast (Class A) in to get some maintenance done.

Not allot to report these last few days…
The solar build is still on hold awaiting the AIM Solar Power Solutions controller replacement to arrive.
This is the first weekend in over a month that we are not booked up with campers here at Plateau Hame De Colquhoun .
Next week the Beast (Class A) will be going into the shop for a few days to get some maintenance done..
And the story continues:…..
Wind, wind and more wind.. While the new solar system is again on hold while we wait to hear on getting a different AIM Solar Power Solutions controller due to it not working.
We are dealing with winds up to 45 mph, which is preventing us from doing much outside…

Got the batteries wired, hooked up the Inverter and controller.. controller popped and nothing.. we unplugged everything, checked all the fuses, they are all good.. But this part (last picture) fell out.. So once again waiting for replacement to be sent.
Most of the mowing is finished.. we plan on adding a couple more RV pull thru in area of first picture. One left we are going to put a spot for buses, coaches.
Circle (second picture) is finished, we made the fire pit circle bigger, still working on getting all weeds/grass out if the part we extended. The idea is that it should be as barefoot safe as any sandy place (still at your own risk). The cactus garden is growing and doing good (maybe next year we’ll have prickly pear fruit)! I’ll get pictures as soon as can!
Plateau Hame De Colquhoun once again is mostly booked up for the weekend. We are now rated as a star host highest rating for the platform.. Fingers crossed we keep staying booked up!
