“Preparing for the New Mexico Nomad Gathering: Grooming the Desert Grounds”
As the New Mexico Nomad Gathering in the Desert approaches, we’re gearing up to prepare our grounds for this exciting event. One common question we receive is whether we really mow the desert. The answer is yes, we do groom the grounds, although it’s quite different from mowing grass in more traditional environments.
At Ka-Hoon Campground and Event Center, maintaining the desert landscape involves unique challenges. While there may not be as much grass as in a typical environmental center, the terrain here is rugged and requires special equipment and techniques to ensure the area is ready for our guests.
