Here are the projects we’re currently working on or planning for the future.
Delayed due to water hauling challenges. Shower installation is anticipated soon. There will be a cost per shower due to our limited water supply.
Finished Stage construction is in the final stages. We aim to build it on the front of the Blue Moon Container to facilitate small music festivals, both private and public.
Constructing a roof over the expansive stage area is currently in the planning phase.
Installing stairs and railings to access the Scenic Deck atop the music studio is in progress. This enhancement will provide an elevated viewpoint for a better panorama of the Rio Grande Valley.
Creating a mural on both the Greenroom and Battery House is underway. This artistic endeavor will add vibrant visual elements to enhance the ambiance of the surroundings.
We have plans to plant indigenous trees, flowers, and establish gardens to enhance the natural beauty of our surroundings.
We’re looking forward to harvesting prickly pear fruit soon and experimenting with making jams to sell. While we haven’t tried it ourselves yet, we’ve heard it’s delicious, so we’re excited to give it a try!
Expanding our compost toilet facilities is on our agenda to better accommodate campers and event attendees. These eco-friendly toilets offer a sustainable solution while minimizing our environmental impact.
We’re looking to enhance our offerings by adding more campsites and expanding the Dusty Nail Community General Store. This expansion will provide additional amenities for our guests and further enrich their experience at our campground and event center.
Exciting news! We’re introducing catering services soon for campers and vendors at Ka-hoon Campground and Event Center. Enjoy delicious options like Scottish scone pizza, hamburgers, or hotdogs, delivered right to your campsite or during events. Stay tuned for more details!
